0 Tony B
Feeling old, used to drive one when I was about ten. They were exceptionally good in small steep feilds. Edited December 24, 2010 by Tony B

Tony, You obviously did not get it, I was not laughing about the machine, am well aware of them, ...it was Adrian's remarks. :-)
0 Tony B
Yeah, the other boys made you do it! :-D They are one of those machines that went out of fashion. Everything went bigger and flashier, then whoops! the new ones are to big and complicated. In Jersey the feilds are measured in Vergees, about 1/3 of an acre. The Cotils, are slopes often about thirty degrees plus. One way of ploughing was a tractor or Landy with a winch on the back, throw the plough down and winch it up. The little Ransome's were ideal for the work.
0 Adrian Barrell
Richard was right, they are a nice little machine but then I was Ipswich born too! The picture reminded me of Henham Steam rally a few years ago. A chap had a Corgi on display with the stationary engines and his display board told a wonderful tale of how his machine had been dropped into Arnhem in 1944.....
