Stone
So, has anyone else seen the film 'Salt' yet? If you could tear your eyes away from Angelina Jolie for a few moments (:cool2:) in the early minutes of the film you might have spotted a pair of 'tanks', allegedly guarding the border between North and South Korea. They didn't get a lot of screen time but I'm convinced they were actually FV432s with Scorpion turrets on Anyone here want to own up? Stone
I did a naughty and downloaded the film so I could make screenshots Definitely 432s with (Fox?) turrets - I was fooled at first as the gun's been replaced with some drainpipe. Now what the hell are they supposedly doing in Korea? :nut: Other than this mini-gaffe it's a pretty good film! Stone
sirhc
You were right the first time, they are Scorpion turrets.
Stone
Not bad for all of 10 seconds screen time then I only tended towards Fox as I knew they were an 'official' variant. The only ones I've ever seen in the flesh are the Peak Engineering ones. Stone Edited August 26, 2010 by Stone
LoggyDriver
Blimey, this sort of thing makes me cringe. I suppose for only 5 seconds we can let them off. Are they supposed to be North or South Korean? If South they should have been based on the M60.
Stone
Nope, North :rotfl: Then again it was made in America, that probably explains why the (North Korean) patriotic / propaganda announcements (to the South Koreans) in the background are in...English! Go Hollywood! *facepalm*
