question Unknown Clansman harness box.

Hi Guys

 

Was going through a bunch of Clansman stuff getting ready to install it and found a box marked :

 

 

"interconnecting box drivers box selector"

 

Has standard harness connectors on the left and right of the box and another harness plug on the bottom marked RBJ (same connector as harness !)

 

There is a selector switch on the LHS of the fromt panel and a lamp assembly on the right.

 

Was just curious as I could not find it anywhere in my documentation.

Hi Mark. Sorry to say I have no idea how to scan and post info! I have a book that contains most of the clansman kit. Two pages cover this unit. If you would like to PM me, I can send you a copy in the post. Looks like this (DBS) is used in conjunction with a Drivers box (DB)

Quote. 15. In a turreted vehicle where the connections through the rotary base junction (RBJ) are limited to 5 wires, the DB is connected through the RBJ to a DBS.

16. The DBS can be used only in conjunction with a DB; together they providesome of the facilities of a CB-2.

17. The DBS is fitted with a lamp which lights when the selector is switched to I or IA.

End quote. Page two instructs how to use the two boxes.
