new project Austin Gypsy

I must be mad just added a new project to the fold has een part restored by a mate but hes lost his storage so its come to me , can any one help me with info on this late Austin Gypsy .

You lucky...LUCKY... LUCKY.........:banghead: Rust is a problem, transmission is nearly bomb proof the engine parts are the old C series. If you want to disiel it use the BMC 2.5 litre, bit more poke than the 2.2, both very reliable, used in London cabs for years. Sheet metal is likley to be the problem.

It allready fited with the 2.2, has new head gasket and clutch ,will post some more pics when i go down with the camera ,came with spair engine and hard top ,drives ok so looks like it should not take to long to get it to a mot abble state .

A few military versions were built as in the FVRDE book above for assesment but they never went into service with the military, various government departtments used standard production ones including the large number bought by the Home office for the AFS, auvillary fire service
