ajmac Posted May 5, 2010 Share Posted May 5, 2010 Jolly good Jack, We have mentioned this months ago.... but how many Shermans de we need to make it a post war (ok post 1950s) record in the UK? We hoped for one of each main type, but looks like there are no running M4A3s in the UK and no Running M4s... at least until the M4 Hybrid on HMVF if back in running order. kpu121265 Posted May 5, 2010 Share Posted May 5, 2010 The engine is getting close for my Sherman, the rest of the interior is currently proving more elusive. I have the seats in Italy, but still really need a prop shaft, prop shaft tunnel and turret basket. Don't be shy if you these under your bed...... A very helpful fellow HMVF member turned me up a gear lever so the required parts list is still reducing, all be it slowly. It won't make this event but will make Normandy in 2014...... Probably more than you think there were quite a number of specialist Shermans that made it into the Post War number change (**ZR**) etc including BARVs which lasted to the late fifties and Sherman DDs.
