Chicken coop

Recommended Posts

I was tracking a rumour of some ww2 aircraft parts in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia when I was around 15 years old.

I managed to find a fair hunk of stuff gun panels etc and took them to a museum I was voluteering at. At the time I was unaware that spitfire parts had identifying parts numbers. I got a call from a guy late at night who had been researching this spitfire for years as it belly landed, was being repaired then disappeered at the end of the war. So he was desperate to know where it was.

I told him that it had been cut up to make a 'chicken coop'
