Jessie The Jeep
No, the cockpit was dry. Here's a stop-frame animation of the lowering operation -

Here's a stop-frame animation of the lowering operation - nice bit of footage put together ,, what I thought looked like condensation must be the way the camera flash caught the paint
agripper
Are they planning to balast the airframe now?
Jessie The Jeep
I'm not sure what is being planned to stop tipping for now, other than trying to sweep the wings, and a sleeper stack to the rear was discussed. To be fair, the worst weather in 30 years doesn't happen that often, so previous snow control measures may do for now until a more permanent solution can be found. ianscales
Glad to hear it's back on the ground, albeit it with some repairs to do. With regards to preventing it happening again (On a low budget) the costs need to be weighed up against the probability of a similar situation (As you say, the worst weather in 30 years).
