:shocked: Not having seen a Vulcan close up or with anything to give a gauge to ones size , its a lot bigger than I first thought , hope they can sort the damage out ok ,, when you were in the cockpit was the dash panel covered in condensation ?

Are they planning to balast the airframe now?

I'm not sure what is being planned to stop tipping for now, other than trying to sweep the wings, and a sleeper stack to the rear was discussed. To be fair, the worst weather in 30 years doesn't happen that often, so previous snow control measures may do for now until a more permanent solution can be found.

Glad to hear it's back on the ground, albeit it with some repairs to do.

 

With regards to preventing it happening again (On a low budget) the costs need to be weighed up against the probability of a similar situation (As you say, the worst weather in 30 years).
