year1jeep
Hi! I'm trying some (very) gentle off roading in my Willys, which has meant I've fitted a hotchkiss rollbar for the event (just in case!) Has anyone fitted seatbelts with one of these? There are shoulder height mountingson the bar, but wondering how the rest of it looks? Any photos? The aim is to remove them for normal use, but they are a requirement even to take the jeep on gentle routes (probably sensible!) Thanks! horrocks
Very wise. Seatbelts are as dangerous when there is no roll bar as their absence is when there is a roll bar. I rolled an MB without a roll-cage a year or two ago, and was thankfully able to jump clear. It happened very easily.
Enigma
When using a rollbar and belts I'd recomend also installing a net on the side like in Dakar racecars. It may prevent your arm being flung outside the body and getting caught between jeep and ground.
