fv1609
What is the context of DDE? To me it suggests a place or function that is a Design & Development Establishment. Are you sure it is not DOE as in the Defence Operations Executive?
Grasshopper
It says on the history issued Ashchcurch 1983, D.D.E until 1985 when it went to Brize Norton. Then in 1994 it went to the Auth Equipment manager (whatever that is). The vehicle is a S3 109 FFR, and is featured in one of the military Land Rover books (can't remember which one) parked up at Beltring. It has a hard top with windows in the back.
