From recollection, in REME Workshops we used an industrial adhesive called Dunlop Thixofix for this sort of job. Sticks like sh*t to a blanket. Try Woolies, they specialise in car trimming materials and did stock it; http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk Richard
ArtistsRifles
Yep - thats the stuff to use. Had recourse to it some years ago when the deadlining of a Vanden Plas 4 Litre R decided to part company with the rest of the car. Worked a treat!!! fv1609
That sort of glue is great, but you must coat both surfaces & wait for it to dry, then push it together ie impact glue. I had to reline the Shorland with this & you must keep going out & breathing in fresh air as being in a confined space with all those vapours may make you feel all peculiar :? I was looking in the back of an AS90 a while ago on a hot summers day & a lot of the lining was just peeling off in the heat so it is still a problem trying to get glue to stay stuck in the heat. CanadianScottish
Try Armaflex glue it's similar to Thixofix and is used in the refrigeration and insulation industry for jointing and fixing closed and open cell pipe insulation. Whats more you can get it locally from SRW (Sussex Refrigeration Wholesale) in Hove.
