berni
how much extra was the recovery as am thinking about it as well. ta Berni
Jack
Doh, forgot that bit..........the phone rang! Ok Berni, you going to love this policy. You basically get the same sort of policy as you would with say the AA, breadown recovery to your door and it doesn't matter if I was in your vehicle as it is I that is covered so we would be able to get Windy home 8) will have more details when they arrive but the good bit is the price... £54 I repeat £54 ......you can see why they are going to be busy on this one. (not to mention Stuarts Saracen...) I can live with that cost for the peace of mind it gives RAC cover for the car this year was touching the £140 mark so £125 for any weight is not too bad Bet it goes up again, though, the first time one of the Alvis 6x6 family conks out somewhere!!!! Richard Farrant
With the going rate for recovery and the fact that this new scheme covers heavier vehicles than the normal RAC one, I am not surprised the fee has risen. Makes you wonder if Roadsure done there homework on this one. With a relatively small scheme such as this, there would not want to be a large amount of people requiring assistance before the money would run out. Is the scheme solely for the MV insurance scheme, or does it include all the other classic and vintage vehicle schemes that Roadsure do? They have not given a lot of info out on this. fv1609
The little folder you get has a number to call for car breakdown & one for commercial breakdown. So it must be fairly wide coverage. But I don't know what number a broken MV should call. But I have just had their larger catalogue & I see can now insure my helmet. Helmet cover is for £500 or £1,000. I might need to do that when you see a picture of one of those Roadsure members of staff sitting on a helmet. I think you need to see the brochure to fully grasp this. 34ba37
I phoned roadsure again this afternoon, and spoke to a bloke this time. He told me there are 2 types of insurance, one for heavy £125 and one for light £54 light is up to 7.5 ton, so the ferret falls into this. still dont understand why the girl said they stopped the £54 offer. but i have taken it up, and will let you know what happens. keith

russell sprout
Hi Richard, Who do you have your dingo insured with??? I checked the roadsure site and it came out as £140 per year..... does that sound about right??? Cheers, Tim.

I checked the roadsure site and it came out as £140 per year..... does that sound about right??? Tim, My Dingo is not on the road, the one I sometimes use belongs to a friend. Just renewed the insurance for my QL with them and fully comp it is £95. My guess is that you pay more because of your agreed value, which would be around twice that of my wagon I would think. Last year I did get some quotes although I have been on AC Miles and Roadsure for years. There was only about £2 difference in them all. fv1609
I pay them £130 for 2 Pigs, 2 Shorlands & a Hornet. Although I have just had the renewal for the Wolf, this is £284 but this is my everday vehicle. But despite no accidents they seem to have withdrawn my no claims bonus, so I'll have to see about that  Then with the other 5, I found they had all changed into being made in 1960, all powered by engines of 200cc  Or perhaps it is the influence of the Sisters of Roadsure, for that is what they are called http://www.sistersofroadsure.com/
