  1. More than enough to start with by the sound of it. Welcome to the forum. If you feel like posting a few photos that would welcomed too I'm sure.
  2. About time that award came through! Congratulations Robert.:bow:
  3. Super photos Andy. Glad the day was a great success. Congratulations to you both. :-D
  4. Welcome. That's an impressive looking truck!
  5. Hope your run out at the weekend goes well Rob. Enjoyed the video a lot.
  6. Agreed N.O.S. There is a need to approach this with an open mind and common sense, but I still believe any archeological site needs to be investigated before being bulldozed. Although not affecting military archeology, I know for a fact that in some large scale sites where extraction occurs any discovery of archeology is cleared out of the way to avoid shutting down the plant and losing money. Not just human archeology but paleontology too. I think the idea being mooted of allowing an archeological appraisal of a site after foundations have been dug as a bit of a token gesture. I would like to see what happens with the discussion on this. No doubt the EDP will report on it. Perhaps the archeologists have had to much power in the past, but it would be a shame to see the balance swing too far the other way.
  7. Congratulations! A milestone in any rebuild is to get the engine running. Hoping to get my 109 back together and running soon. Good luck with the rest of the build. Darren
  8. Been watching the rebuild with interest. Did it run? Looking good so far :-D
  9. I've just read the article and Mr Melton seems to be taking the law into his own hands with this. There are numerous new developments in the Fens which have popped up in recent years. I grew up there and the Archeologists are absolutely right to be worried as there is so much buried there. Obviously it has been a prime military area for the UK and US armed forces. Thanks for highlighting this as I will now keep an eye out for news. It's a shame when someone in a elected position such as Mr Melton can't respond to a serious email from someone voicing their concerns with out resulting to childishness :-( It's all about making money at the end of the day I suppose...
  10. What a great vehicle to have though. It really looks fantastic. Thanks for the info. Darren

    What to buy

I've just turned green..!! My absolute dream vehicle to own. The most I can afford at the moment is to watch them on youtube :embarrassed: Is it easy to get UK registration for it, or are there problems with its size for our roads? Have you taken it properly off road yet?
  14. Apologies to the Mods but I couldn't see anywhere more suitable to post this  I just wanted to wish Andy and his future wife all the best for their wedding this weekend. Have a good one mate! Hope you've got your priorities right for the honeymoon and plan to spend a full week working on Daisy....
