  6. I was based in Willich during the 60's I was driver on SCAMMELL LOW LOADERS. My wife and I attended a reunion in Willich in July. There will be another reunion next year 2016
  7. I served in Aden during 1966 and 1967 We moved up to Oman after that! As to the tires and other things they were in short supply. We used what ever we could get our hands on. Look at Flicker and check on '' Oman '' you will see the Bedford RL Recovery on single sand tyres all round. John Mc Cargo
  8. Hi, I used to drive the Scammell with the yellow sign on the doors. There were two Scammell's I think that they were 20BT41 and 20BT42. Both were at Waterbeach --- 63( Airfields ) R.E. The sign on the doors is Arab Knives crossed swords ( Arab Khanyar's ) The squadron was the Arab Gulf Plant Support Squadron. You can contact me on seanmccargo42@gmail.com Sean

  12. Sankey 1/2 ton trailer. Front of trailer has been modified to take a ball joint. Complete front towing assembly could be rotated 180' degrees for parachute drops. Easier to slip under Land Rover to make space. ( Note the 4 bolts ) located at the end nearer the trailer body. John Mc Cargo
