I think until I find a complete Triumph bolt on version this will be staying and I’ll cut off the clip and weld it further down the tube so it doesn’t foul the pannier base. By the sounds of it I’ll be searching a long time 🙂

Thanks Gareth, my frame is 3SW, so I don’t know if it was a mod in service or some ones just fitted another makes on it,  yours has different turn buckle and is welded on.

Is this tank genuine, I see the 3HW tanks have a pipe into the frame, surely a small rubber hose combo with copper pipe piped into the frame would work the same ?.

These are my hybrid’s Field Stand, the spring clip is welded on too far up and the stand would foul the bag rack when opened up.

 I ve seen pictures of 3HWs with the clip’s further down the tube.

my question is 1/ is the field stand genuine Triumph 2/ are the 3HW spring clip’s bolted on or welded and are they available anywhere.

I’ve got movement in the shaft in the centre of the star, anything to worry about ?.

I appear to be missing a knob ?. Seems to work though ?. 7/8 bars not 3SW either.

Is the headlight original, I know the glass and ammeter are wrong ?

Is this 3HW ?.

My aim apart from the engine and racks is to put it back to 3SW spec, but apart from the frame and forks it appears to be all 3HW or post war.

Where would you get some bags from ? Or are they made of unobtainable !, the headlight on mine, should that be 6.5 or 8inch  for a 3SW ?
