  1. I think you will find that is ASDA: "Asda Superstore Portland Road, Waterlooville, PO7 7XR" is about 2.5 miles/7 minutes up the road. Turn right coming out the show ground, Turn right onto B2150 straight over a coulpe of roundabouts and and it is just up the road on the left. Paul

  3. Mark, You beat me to posting the pictures! strangely enough most of mine are the same as yours, however I think I have a couple you have not put up so ill sort that out later on. Got a few "brit" bits from the show for my departure from American to British living history. Fantastic french farm house display, well done to all concerned. Sorry to hear of your wind problem! Paul
  4. Hi, Can I just ask.... I am looking at going to the Mil fair on the Sunday and it would be rude of me not to have a look round your show whilst im there. So could you please tell me is your MVT show a separate entrance admission fee or does the Mil fair fee include your show entrance? Thanks Paul
  5. Just found this video of the show please follow the link. Paul http://www.explosion.org.uk/latest-news.html
  6. I attended Sat only and yes a great little first show. Very good set pieces and very loud pyro's. I would have liked to see more vehicles there (9) but I guess petrol etc and the MoPs seem to drop away in the afternoon, I think there were more Reenactors than MoPS for most of the day. Didnt see the NAAFI wagon as advertise, was it there today? Anyway roll on next year and perhaps they could get the local MTBs up in the camber area. All along there was a staging area for D-Day and I have a shot of many German prisoners being marched along one of the road off of the museum. Were you with the Dorset guys? Paul
  7. Bit late I know, but if you are down this way. New show on the scene so not sure how good it will be, all I can say is that I think it is very expensive for MoPs to get in...... http://www.explosion.org.uk/visitor-info/events-calendar/icalrepeat.detail/2011/04/02/47/54|53/NWE0Nzk5NmU0OTZhODVjYTg0ZWUzYTRiNGZjOWMyNzQ=/spirit-of-the-40s-weekend.html CheersPaul

  13. Hi, Reading their web site, would I have to pay to bring a military vehicle and kit along for this production or is there a budget for petrol etc? Regards Paul
  14. Hi, Thank you for the reply, I came across your web site on the ww2re-enactors forum, great information. I have asked my friend to sort my detector out as per your instructions. I also found some good info along the same lines from the guys at WS 19 group as previously suggested. Regards Paul
  15. The D-Day museum are inviting WW2 type vehicles to come and park on the grassed area directly in front of the museum on the above dates to celebrate the build up to D-Day. If you just want to park up and have a walk round the museum or would like to come along in period attire or even bring along a period display that would be great. However it would be appreciated if you could stay for a few hours, those staying will be entitled as a thank you to a £5 dinner voucher to be used in their cafe. Please let me know if you would like to attend so I can give an idea of numbers to the museum. Regards Paul
  16. Thanks ill give them a look at now. Regards Paul
  17. Hi mate, My friend is currently getting a ATS coverall made, if you want I can let you know how it turns out, it cost in the region of £120 ish but is handmade to measure and to the spec in Dickey Ingram’s book as previously mentioned by Andy. Got an ATS hat from a mate of mine at Stoneleigh for £35 also picked up a leather jerkin for £40. Previously got a pair of brown boots for £25 at Malvern and that is her sorted. I am now representing a sapper from the R.E.s so no more stretcher boy! Good luck Paul
