  1. Come on chaps, the site's just a patch of land. How long did it take the original show to work out the wrinkles and hit on a layout?
  2. It's them - the error relates to Unix, and I'd guess you're on Windows
  3. I couldn't make it this year unfortunately, but I can't help but think it might be a bit soon to pass judgement on the relocated show. It's only 2 years in.
  4. Clack's posted his pictures in HTML code, which isn't the same as BBCode the the forum uses.
  5. Welcome along! That sounds like a very intersting project!
  6. wowee - congratulations!
  7. I hadn't noticed how wide it is - is it used to support a pathway/bridge in lieu of a pontoon?
  8. hedgehog? Wasn't that a rocket launcher?
  9. It's not just scams though, in the past I've had my credit card details hacked from a legitimate company that I'd used online. Just be careful, and make sure you know the risks you are taking in any distance transaction.
  10. It's an interesting place and I'd recommend Ian (the gunner) but take a sat nav if you can and give plenty of time. The roads are a tad iffy in the area and gave the suspension a very good workout. Take a look here (as well as sentimental journey above) http://www.thegunner.net/
  11. I think the IPR laws changed recently and it may not depend on whether they were commissioned or not.
  12. I'd love to, but all of my money's tied up helping the rightful ruler of, oh wait, dagnamit. At least this one is recognisable as a scam. Keep your wits about you - there must be some people getting fooled or it wouldn't be worth their time.
  13. If it's all new, has the cabling been changed? The cabling has to be pretty thick for 6 volt due to the current draw. That may be contributing to your troubles.
  14. Careful Tim, he's from the land of Apple. It might first be worth explaining that you can access the engine bay without voiding the warranty, and when it runs out of petrol you don't have to buy a new one. Welcome along Chris! You'll have loads of fun with a Ferret / Saracen, did you ever head up the road to the MVTF? Alas you've just missed the auction, but you may find some good MV contacts in the area if you drop them a line before they shut up shop, particularly as they used to have a Ferret and (I think) a Saracen there.
  15. There was a D60 as well as a D15. Much like the Ford and Chevrolet CMPs, these were made to the same standard but with a commercial cab. There's at least one early prototype that had the CMP cab 13' but they didn't run with it.
  16. Awesome thanks! It looks like a really good year. I have to ask, does anyone know what the seat on the front of the C8/P is for? I've seen it a couple of times, and I can't decide whether it's usable or stowed.
  17. Surely you'd jump the aux gen off the landrover, then the meteor off the aux gen? Doh, just read the post about the BARV not having one. Ignore my wittering on.
  18. We need photos and tales of vehicular debauchery folks. Some of us are stuck at home!
  19. What did the valentine and post war churchill AVRE go for?
  20. You can get inline oilers which can help.
  21. Can you give us a close up of the jaws?
  22. Multitasking. Natures way of telling us girls are better than boys
  23. I can't help but think of railway logistics reconnaissance (with and without trainspotter anorak).
