Try the Museum of Army Flying, whose collections include gliders; or the Assault Glider Trust. The De Haviland Museum also has a Horsa.

Looks like a well used Ford WOT2E.
No not a WOT2. Looks much more like a Morris CS 11/30 - see here:

I'm not convinced about a W&G du Cros connection - the W&G script is normally very different with an underscore. To my eyes it like W&C instead (though no idea who that could be).

Most likely a film prop

Matador HQ do great work. I hope the Malta Matty gets returned to its military spec.

Hi Peter, I've seen pics of later vans in RAF use with BABS (blind/beam approach beacon system) gear - serials RAF 156717, RAF 156992 and RAF 157062. Do you have the side panels? If so, does the passenger side have some vents at the front?

Another string on this subject is here:

The first is a Karrier WO6; and the second a Morris Commercial D type.
Info on the company here:

Do you mean the C8 (4x4) portee or the CS8 (4x2) portee?
Was there a 17 pdr portee? They were trailed behind the C8 gun tractor (and Loyds etc).

The Hallford behind the S-D also appears on its own postcard.

Looking at your page I see you know about the Loyd at Bicester (also here at about 2 mins):
What's the low down on that one?

I am wondering if anyone has more info re. 1/2-ton Carryalls. According to the caption of this picture, out of 1,100 WC-26 Carryalls built, 300 were delivered to the British via Lend-Lease.
Does anybody know in which theatres they were used?Hi Hanno, there's a 1/2 ton carryall pictured here (just!) in Burma (Ref: CF327): ROYAL AIR FORCE OPERATIONS IN THE FAR EAST, 1941-1945. | Imperial War Museums (iwm.org.uk)
