  6. Hi Richard, yes the K3 is longer, but the tyres are standard military 10,5-16. The same what I have on my K30. The early K30 has civilian tyres. Radek
  7. Many thanks for info. Could I ask is any register where is possible find if is the Vernon alive? All mans who fighted in ww2 are for me heroes. I know any Czechoslovakian veterans. This wednesday died my friend colonel Pansky (the man with bunch) in his 85. He served in Czechoslovakia army in UK. :-(((((((((( Every day are this heroes less and less. :-((((((((((( Thanks Radek

  11. This forum is very interesting. I hope that I will find what I am looking for. It is hard for me find help in my country. My friends have Bedfords, CMPs, Commer, Fordsons, but nobody have Austins Lorries. I have best friens in Scotland, Malcolm and Peter, thanks them. Many thanks for any helps Radek

  14. Hi Ashley, yes it was by fire brigade. The parts from this lorry what I have are tipical Ambulance. I thing this, what is on the picture, was made from K2 Ambulance. Many cars and lorries changed here real looks for another use. :-))) Is tipical for eastern block, after the war wasn´t home production and the US strong limusine was cat and use as pick up, .... Many interesting cars and lorries was demaged. :-(( We have K2 Ambulance body. I don´t know the story of chassise, bud this body was use as beehose and after then as piggery. :-( Radek
  15. It is hard to get any parts. When father bought K30, now my, he got with any parts from K2 Ambulance (on picture) yes it was K2 Ambulance. This Ambulance ended his life in scrap :-(( We have only axles, bonet, fenders, ... 7 years ago we bought near the Prague the spare engine, was in box. I got any parts when I wisit the first owner in Czech. He got K30 in UNRRA help. (I have all papers from 1946 for this lorry) And now I am buying parts on Milweb and Ebay. Radek
  16. The early lorry has civilian wheals the rear was doublemount.
  17. The early Austin lorry has big front lights and the latest smaller. Now I have bought the Buttlers lights, the lorries was fittet with Lucas or Buttlers lights. I will put in on my lorry. Still 5 years I am looked for this. :yay: Now I would like the traficator and make coreect GS body. ;-)
  18. I have any pictures of Austin K30, early withopened cab or late wit closed cab. What I know, many early army lorries was 30cwt (1,5ton) but this wasn´enought after then came 2tons, 60cwt (3ton) and more. The Austin 30cwt was start before ww2 and the production end was around 1941 after then was made only K2 (2ton) nad K3 (3ton). This lorries looks like similer only the capacity is bigger. On my K30 are double rear leaf springs. I thing it was added for bigger useable. Many this K30 left the british expedition army in Dunkerque. :-( Radek
