    I played around with streetview a bit, but there are so many buildings and trees that block the view. However, I laid the original on this and the peaks seem to line up fairly well, given that different lenses were used on the two cameras. It is on today's Via Vincenzo Grosso, not far from route 6.

    Hi Dan, I suspect that the temperatures might go way beyond the limits of Belzona, and it is a pretty tough environment in the cylinder with its pressure waves, combustion, scraping and so on. However, if you happened to know someone with a similarly pitted engine of no particular value that you could try it on, I would be interested to see the results. trevor

    So I assume that the air cylinder works in parallel to the manual clutch pedal system? Is it possible for the air cylinder to be out of adjustment such that it effects the adjustment of the clutch pedal system? trevor

    If they do find the amber room in Poland then the question is what will they do with it? I cannot see the Russian authorities not demanding it back, but would they be prepared to exchange it for the art that was taken away from Poland after the war for 'reparations'? trevor

    Ah, so that also answers my other question of how the spare wheel was held on. So if I have got it right there is long bolt, that can fold down, and the wheel retaining plate fits in those clips when the spare wheel is not in place? Presumably there is enough room to tweak the wing nut tight to stop the retaining plate from jumping out of the clips when driving without the spare wheel in place. When we see the work you are doing it is hard to appreciate how much research you are doing in the background! trevor
