  9. They may let you get on to take measurements if you ask and explain the reasons, it may even be outside opening hours. I have had free range at Stonehenge to take photographs before it was open for the public that day. Just make a phone call to the curator. The moral of the story is "If you don't ask you don't get." Regards John

  12. FOR INFORMATION RCS IS EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS please read the following and bear in mind that a 30 micron filter won't save you. The human eye can see about 40 microns. Respirable crystalline silica (RCS) refers to particles of crystalline silica less than four microns in size, or particulate matter 4 (PM4). PM4-sized particles can penetrate deep into the lungs, where the most critical effects of RCS– silicosis and cancer – are thought to occur. Best regards John
  13. I have a large "sealed" blasting cabinet with a filtered exhaust system and there is still some dust settling in my workshop, so I would say that using sand is a definite no no. John
  14. From my days in the English Civil War Society the barrel has to be smooth bored and up to 2 inch bore with a minimum barrel length of 24" to be legally held as a shotgun. I remember a few years ago the yachting fraternity who used starting cannon were falling foul of the new laws as the barrels weren't long enough. Regards John

  16. Unfortunately, how many drivers understand hand signals for turning these days? John
  17. Doesn't it depend on how thick the existing spring steel is? There are a few spring manufacturers in Redditch I am sure if you take the sample to their trade counter they will be able to oblige. I have used Holt springs in Hoylake many times for my one off needs. Regards John

  19. Hoseman Because of the camp you are going to you, will have an official letter printed out from the Dutch Government, which will be replaced with a different one when you have booked your weapons in at the camp. This covering letter must be carried at all times. The Dutch laws are very strict, absolutely no replicas, and I would certainly not entertain taking my deacs. without the covering letter and certs., it is difficult as I understand it for Dutch nationals to own deacs. Best regards John
