  1. When I first started attending W&P for the week with my military vehicle it was a great holiday with every chance of picking up those much needed and hard to find spares. Unfortunately with the way things have gone I feel that the best hunting grounds for spares are: The Dallas Digout Stoneliegh Malvern John
  2. Just got back today from 2 day visit. I found that the lack of traders was very disappointing, i estimate down by a third on previous years. Many of the stall holders were complaining at the extortionate charges and saying they would be looking at whether it was worth attending next year in view of the shrinking number of stallholders. As regards members of the public attending there did not seem to be a great number either yesterday or today. Looking around the vehicle fields there was vey little armour compared to years gone by, and very few British vehicles if Land Rovers are excluded. All in all I think that our "friend" is doing a fine job of running a once great show into the ground. I for one will not be returning until there is a change of ownership.

  11. As I understand it the DVLA will not do anything without a NOVA certificate regardless of how long the vehicle has been in the country, British production or not.
  12. I do not think that the first item is a slide hammer. It appears to have graduated markings on the top piece and too many tapped holes with locking grub screws in. I t looks to me to be some sort of setting tool.
  13. Hi Does anyone have a 160 pounder flysheet that they no longer require? (Preferably wartime but would consider later) If you have, please pm me with price, contact details etc. Regards John
  14. Hi Pete I am glad you chimed in with that info. Having seen this thread I was wondering about the size of the rims on the Chevy, so now I known. Best regards John
  15. Hi All I am wondering how much an overhauled towing hitch (type with fold out handles) for a 1/2 ton general service trailer is worth. Regards John
  16. Pity about that. Have you tried Gary Oldman as a second best option!!

  22. There is a downloadable parts list for the 1942 GPW on the Jeepdraw website, this list also has the Willys part numbers and exploded view diagrams. http://jeepdraw.com/images/jeepdraw/ADOBE_ACROBAT_FILES/TM-10-1348-FORD-Parts-Price.pdf John
  23. My wife and I went to see it in the IMAX format having read reviews in the Telegraph. The size of the screen and the enhanced sounds made you feel as if you were there in the thick of it. It was worth going to see in this format, if only to appreciate the terrifying effect of the Stuka sirens, something that I have never fully appreciated in the normal cinema format. I felt transfixed, helplessly waiting for the bomb to drop. Just another opinion. John
  24. I believe that the early gear boxes had the filler on the right hand side when looking forward. Most have the filler on the left hand side with a separate filler for the transfer case situated at the back of the case, all whilst looking forward.
