  1. Dynamo is an old version of an alternator, battery charger, Yes 24 v electrical system. Spares available on Internet, mainly in cz,Poland etc. Yes I had starter and dynamo reconditioned here in uk
  2. Yes still have it, 10 years now! Fast and Fantastic machine to drive and easy to maintain, only problems I've had are the dynamo and starter motor rebuilt, the rest is easy enough to service or fix. Beats most modern tracked vehicles over land for speed and agility. And ride..
  3. I would have thought there would be some bypass through pump using lift pump to injector valve heads? Not injectors..
  4. When I mean the injector won't bleed ! And no not the return!
  5. This is vacuum cut off for the pump via electric from ignition
  6. Hi all, been having problem with my drops injector pump, firstly it had a leak from original lift pump (spring return type) which let in air and engine cut out after 15 min or so, changed for the older type unscrew top and pump it up and down one which seems ok, but the vehicle due to covid 19 etc has sat around for a year and done very little.. and now I can't bleed injectors when pumping lift pump as it seems the bosch injector pump housing is pressurising and when priming using lift pump, using finger to block bleed bolt on top left of pump housing pressure is released when I remove finger..This does not seem normal, would the valves inside the injector heads be stuck and causing this or something in the pump that has seized or stuck, have fuel coming in to fuel filter and into pump housing etc but it seems like when lift pumping nothing is going into the top of the injector pump high pressure side.. can only get fuel bleed to injectors when cranking and using wd40 etc..
  7. Paul, could you recover my drops with my ot-90 on it?
  8. the data tag should be on the inside of one of the legs.
  9. lol try loading an ot-90 (2.95 meters wide) on to a beaver tail or low loader :argh:
  10. as far as i know the only difference between the two types of racks is the thickness of the out riggers on the so called 15 ton racks, i beefed a 10 ton rack with lots of heavy duty box sections to take my ot-90 and it dont bend like a 15 ton rack with a 432 on it.. ive seen them loaded and they warp/bend/sag in the middle a fair bit!
  11. I carry my ot-90 (12.5 ton) ish.. on my drops, this year i checked the load axle weights on the mot brake test sheet and no 3 axle was approx 50-100 kilo under the max axle loads (but! the vosa test stations brake test rollers/computer are a bit hit and miss! and not very accurate as they change every year) i drive sensibly everywhere in my drops and am very aware of its limits and capabilities when loaded. ok so an ot-90 is a lot lower but wider and lighter than a 432.. just depends on the axle loading at the end of the day and the driver..
  12. actually it did happen and they used two of our gaz 69 jeeps :
  13. mine is defo go for it !, no problem, just need to make sure you either get a 15 ton rack or uprate a 10 ton one.. my ot-90 sits on mine a peach.. just a little wider than normal :-)
  14. check this out, capel mvt show have a chinook landing and staying this year! along with many military vehicles etc.. last years show was excellent. get booking now.. iall be there in my drops and ot-90 going nuts.. http://capel-military-vehicle-show.com/
  15. nice idea, but i think the computerized brake rollers would know...
  16. pressure tested the load sensor, found it had changed since last year! was only giving out 5 bar instead of 7.5 when loaded!, was new last year Too! all mot'd now :-) fecking daf air system:nut:
  17. no! failed by 1% and i had 14 ton on her..going to check air pressures etc and brake compensator etc soon took her to an independent brake test and it passed (locked all wheels) but they didnt put in the brake code, just entered them manually..
  18. axles rated at 9250 per axle i think..ok ot-90 is going on the rack for retest! 12.5 ton should help!
  19. ok thanks guys, i have found a leaking exhaust foot brake valve, which is now fixed.. and re adjusted two axles a little..but i made a booboo and forgot that i swapped all wheels from front to back and forgot to deflate/re inflate tires correctly before the retest ! doh !! which wont have helped with the 'locking' as some tires would skid on the rollers due to being to flat. and it was loaded with a brdm-2 which is approx 7-7.5 ton. booked in tomorrow morn for a brake test at a different testing station as the measured vehicle weight has changed between the 1st and 2nd mot tests by 200 kilogram !? why i dont know? here are the 1st and second test results. as you can see the odd thing being the 'locked' results being less than the 'unlocked' .. odd..
  20. i know i have one broken slack adjuster, but funnily enough that one passed ok.. i will check the travel over the next few days.. all wheels were off the ground when adjusted. maybe the brake actuators have seized a little?
  21. nope, i cleaned and checked for that, they are all ok.. but brake pedal does go all the way to the floor when pressed hard down..
