  1. Thanks for posting, and they are very useful reference!
  2. Dear All, After the publication of the POST magazine about the Saracen from Phill Burgess and John Collins, owners of two of the former Police Saracen Armoured Car in UK. I was fortunate enough to make contact with the first OC of the unit, who confirmed there were a total of 15 and not 14 as originally thought. They are number from 1 to 15 and the vehicle registration number is AM 6975 to AM 6989. They were also former British Army Vehicle before serving in the Royal Hong Kong Police. No British Vehicle Number is confirmed yet! The first three are Mk 1 with smaller, three doors turret, and the rest are Mk 2 / 3 as I am still trying to figure out. They have RFC but all had the 'Air Duct' behind the engine access covers, and the 'Air outlet duct' on both side of the vehicle at the rear fitted. Can somebody enlighten me on this as same things seen on those British vehicle in HK, so they are Mk 2 fitted with RFC or Mk 3, and also the uparmoued version as well, they are Mk 5 fitted with RFC or Mk 6?? Thanks!
  3. Hi Phill, I am trying to track down all the Saracen used by the former Royal Hong Kong Police, and if yours is "11" and what is the one on this post? Do you mind posting a photo for share? As far as my research goes, the first three probably has the small 3 door turret, as it is evident for the one still on display in the Police Unit as Gate Guard, and I am sure from the forth one is with bigger 2 door turret, still missing photo evident on the 5th and the 9th though. Anyone can help?? One more question, still cannot quite figure out how the roof window works with the splinterproof glass and a sliding fit in the roof housing (that is what the description on the user handbook). Does it over fit over the first half and could be slide to the rear when open and how it operates? Thanks for any help and any reference is much appreciated.
  4. From the "II" on the photo, it is the 11th of the Police Saracen, and I believed there were at least 14 of them starting from "1" as AM 6975 to "14" as AM 6988". Not sure where I get this photo from, but feel appropriate to share it here. If any rightful owner of this pics and do not like it to be posted here, let me know and I will delete it.
