Dear All,
After the publication of the POST magazine about the Saracen from Phill Burgess and John Collins, owners of two of the former Police Saracen Armoured Car in UK.
I was fortunate enough to make contact with the first OC of the unit, who confirmed there were a total of 15 and not 14 as originally thought. They are number from 1 to 15 and the vehicle registration number is AM 6975 to AM 6989. They were also former British Army Vehicle before serving in the Royal Hong Kong Police. No British Vehicle Number is confirmed yet!
The first three are Mk 1 with smaller, three doors turret, and the rest are Mk 2 / 3 as I am still trying to figure out. They have RFC but all had the 'Air Duct' behind the engine access covers, and the 'Air outlet duct' on both side of the vehicle at the rear fitted. Can somebody enlighten me on this as same things seen on those British vehicle in HK, so they are Mk 2 fitted with RFC or Mk 3, and also the uparmoued version as well, they are Mk 5 fitted with RFC or Mk 6??
Thanks!
