  5. You have still did a lot of work even if you only supervised its not easy to do much while your healing from broken bones ! Glad it wasn't worse ! I understand about the "liner" now , I though it was a cover by its self and not a liner , interior that went underneath the hard top. . Hope you will be feeling more comfortable in another month or so . I say feel like your old self but only you know just how well you will have healed.
  6. That was some reaching ! I m sure it was all with in that cranes limits but looked like it wasn't possible to lift that much weight from that distance.
  7. The story was broad cast here yesterday on National Public Radio , very moving story and glad that things did workout to give her a good send off , that She would not have wanted the attention or crowds , but very nice that so many came .
  8. While this isn't a military vehicle ...yet you never know when things might be modified for them . Its an a electric unicycle basicly . There a couple more clips on youtube as well Something went wrong...
  9. Interesting little vehicle? Cool thats it remote control capable, can't tell if its gas or electric? due to the music sound track , wonder how quiet it is or is it sound's like a screaming two stroke? Like all mini things it needs to be a bit bigger as in a bigger set of tracks so it could be used in mud and snow just my two cents .
  10. Could you post the link for the Clayton heaters ?
  11. By putting the asphalt on top and then mixing it with the top layer and repeat a couple of times you make a smooth surface , tough enough for temperary use I m sure its a simular method that has been used in concrete road construction if the base soil is sandy gravaly you add cement and water then mix and level .
  12. Found these two clips on youtube showing loading ,unloading and use of airportable equipment ,it does mention the aircraft using a temperary runway to bring in the men and equipment which would make you wonder why the enemy would give up a field that still had some use but enjoy the clips . part one Something went wrong... part two Something went wrong...
  13. ArtistsRifles : Outstanding video of the Chinook . Suprising how manoverable such a large helicopter can be .
  14. a shot of a rear tractor as mentioned earlier in a scrap yard back in the late 80's I think when I saw it and a number of those long wheel base/ cargo bodied trucks Would these have been the missile trailers ?
  15. Question : would the normal procedure in WW2 on the empty MG magazines been to tose them out of the Jeep or throw them in the back ? So many details, I could spend quite a bit of time just looking at each of the items you have included and still find more . Well Done !
  16. Previously not seen a German version or were aware of these units before , I do have one of the American units in the same metal box.

  19. Its a shame the weather didnt work out , hope you will have a beter time of it next year . Question : in that first photo of the house close by the road , was that originally an outhouse across the road or some other purpose building would you think ? As well as some very steep hills to be mowing !
  20. Here's one I ve had in my youtube favorites for while , It has pretty good production values , there are a few adult words so if your easily offended dont watch past the first section, the f word is in the out takes section . the A team in Iraq Something went wrong...

  22.:bow::bow: Looks great even as it is . I m impressed by the talents and willingness to save these poor and neglected HMV's so future generation's may see them move along under their own power and not just stories ,photo's and video's .
