  1. I know its a long shot, don't suppose anyone knows what happened to the Militant cab after the filming was over?
  2. no, its a 6x6, I'm sure I can see a diff through the junk
  3. looks nice, did you get chassis number? Looks like a 4x4?
  4. sorry but it has to be DBG, not red Rob! The militant you show in green and red looks crap Duncan, I know, I now own it
  5. I was sure a member, 6x6, posted a list of chassis numbers in the thread Aec Militant Mk1? I think he got it from the AEC society or someone closely connected. Wade through that thread it's in there somewhere
  6. I should probably adjust mine that way, ok on a good run, but pottering the batteries don't seem to get enough of a charge. I'll add it to the list of all the other things I won't get around too
  7. and then when you've done that, post some pictures of your militant (apologies if you've already done so)
  8. yes, almost invisible to the camera, didn't get out of 2nd gear
  9. You Tube video of the parade, gets interesting about 3.23, you can't hear the Militant for the Sexton in front If the link doesn't work, search Worcester Parade on You Tube
  10. you can get the guides from Landrover replacement suppliers, usually in 1m lengths

  12. thought I'd struck gold with those pictures, but not to be, I have 36 BM 01, your picture shows 36 BM 02, so near yet so far
  13. lovely pictures, thought only mine got stuck on grass
  14. loads of bits I would have paid good money for on that militant, its just getting to know about stuff in time
  15. I think I'm the only one on here with a 6x4? By all means send me a PM if you want to come and have a look. There's a 6x6 here as well, but its missing a spare wheel carrier (isn't it Rob? ) Both located in Leeds.
  16. I have one, what do you want to know, or did you just want it for bedtime reading
  17. I use this firm for the strip & clean wheels, they used to be based in Huddersfield, but have moved. They do mail order and are far cheaper than ebay etc. For larger areas, I would recommend the grinder mounted discs, don't forget your goggles! http://www.rightlines.ltd.uk/Products.aspx
  18. Hi Bill, don't forget: ear defenders, the ability to climb like a monkey to get in the cab (and out again) and patience, at 30mph you are going nowhere fast. From what I've seen, it seems to be the bodywork that suffers, but the mechanicals tend to be very good, given that most won't have done thousands upon thousnds of miles.
  19. Morning Mel, careful not to get paint on your keyboard
  20. Hi mate, welcome to the forums. Seems like there's three of you from Huddersfield on the forum now, which one is Clegg?
  21. I like the comment about the TA realising the "training potential" of moving them! I could use some help moving stuff, sorry "training"
