  1. ? Optimas don't need a warranty I've had one on the GMC for several years now. I also acquired a secondhand one in a very nice black plywood case which came attached to a WC54.
  2. But one plus side of the plus size, Goran, is that he can pack a lot more ammunition on that belt :cool2:
  3. Best way to bu%%er up a battery is to crank the engine over when battery is getting low. And you know what happens when a 6V system is being temperamental....... My experience is 'buy the biggest Ah that will fit'. Not only less stress on the battery but you're buying more run time when a fault develops too
  4. Degsy - I'm still waiting for that £200 you borrowed off me at the sale last month!
  5. I wish I was 40 years younger! :-D
  6. Not the Gaylord-Fontanas from Stradbroke Manor by any chance?
  7. I'd call that a result all round - the initial questions comprehensively answered and all wayward points corrected, and the MVT has a new volunteer roving reporter in the form of GPW Rookie.:-D
  8. I would imagine the explanation for this is that the MVT can only publish material / information provided to them. I belong to a local group and know that on the odd occasion the deadline for submission of Area Reports has been missed. Would it be reasonable to conclude that any bias you may have noticed will be towards the groups who submit regular and timely material for the magazine?
  9. .....and pushing an old FC Landrover about on a straight bar just for fun!
  10. If Heineken made Allen Scythes........:shake:
  11. Birthday greets to Hosie and Roseman
  12. What about this one then - from his photobucket site of the same collection (follow link in WillysLanc's link): http://s1250.photobucket.com/user/Intimidator2012/media/BARN%20FINDS-BUSH%20FINDS/SAM_9159.jpg.html?sort=3&o=14 Not a fire truck by any chance? Check it out JohnnyLoot!!
  13. And I could have SORN I RE-SORNed one tax exempt vehicle 3 years ago - until a fine for £100 came through the post! But as Nick says, you now no longer have to declare annually.
  14. Here! http://www.collingsfoundation.org/menu.htm Looks like it's gone to a very good home
  15. Are these tanks drawn to the same scale do you think? or is it intended as an identification method? The British MkV looks about the same length - is that right???
  16. This comparison might be helpful (I'd never even heard of the 2C - but just look at the 3C ).
  17. If post 1960, then what is the cut-off for testing? I guess it is weight of trailer, but laden or unladen? On the basis that overrun braked trailers seem to go up to 3.5t gross, I wonder if this is the limit? But that might be for overrun braked only - what about trailers like the one above which is air braked?
  18. The new extension to the Airborne Museum at Hartenstein has most of a glider as part of an interactive 'walk through' display. No idea what if any of it is original, but it looks the part. I like the nose art - wonder if it was copied from an original?
  19. I think that has to be one of the most helpful and useful replies to a legislation question we've had! If you have any spare time, Paul - do you fancy tackling a few of the other grey areas identified on the Forum?
  20. Ah - but is the K9 permitted by its taxation and testing status to tow a loaded trailer?
