  1. Hi Hanno, I underdtand there is a complete one, or that one was being restored and had all the interior etc some time ago. However, I've seen this pic on the site and didd e-mail the owner about info but never recieved a reply.... It sure looks to me like the correct frame compared to the wrechage, er I mean parts that I've got!!!! Cheers Simon BTW if I go quite for q week it's ocs I'm in Frnace and can't find an internet cafe. I'll take my camera in case there's any interesting stuff to report!!!
  2. HI Andy, Yes they fitted the house body to different trucks so any pix of the right body willdo. There is an anomally when fitted to the C4 MkII with the lengthened chassis in that the wheel arch was elongated a little. Here's 2 pix of the right body on the 'wrong' ( for me) truck although this is exactly what I have. Simon PS I've a thread under british trucks too where I'll load up the photos as I go along, if there's any interest. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m58/krazy_kats/IMAGE_6_edited_1.jpg[/img] http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m58/krazy_kats/IMAGE_5_edited_1.jpg[/img]
  3. Ok I'll get some pix together. Look pretty well like yours does at the moment Rick but with the cab base in place. The body is apart so I can find some pix of the all the bits spread out on the lawn!! I'm just working on a 'simple' piece - the operators' table. This is made up for angled steel edging with a ply table covered in steel sheet ( all rotten and rusted, with a wooden box slung under and a pullout at the front about 16" wide to locate the morse key. Apart from the ply and steel parts of the actual top, it's all usable. I have a 1942 dated 19 set to go in it although ASSU used Canadian No9 sets (much more power) as this unit got all Canadian radio kit. Interestingly, the Canadian's radio body (on a Chev) looks the same at first glance but was about 2 ft wider and much more comfortable than the British version... Simon
  4. yup same one. Now located in Norfolk. I understand ther's another body in Holland and poss one in the UK.... The truck is going back together OK but I'd like to biuld the body onto the new truck when I can find one so I'm just gathering info, etc and cleaning all the internal parts, of which there are loads! I can put of pix up at a later date if anyone's interested but there's plenty of C8 stuff on here already with Rick's project! Simon
  5. HI, This the house body which is a 'hard' body not FFW which is an instalation in a GS truck. The Mk 111 hard different aerial arrangement and a window over the cab tilt. Used by Royal Signals for many uses, and also as an office with a different interior. Single door in the rear, ladder to the left of the door, generator louvres in the rear right and rear side in removable panels. a window high up on each side. Spare wheel mounted on the roof. I have a house dismantled and some info and, most impoortantly, all the internal switches, table, shelves window glass etc, but more pix are needed to get it correct. The truck I want to re-create was used by 2 ASSU in Normandy. Not much info on this mob..... cheers Simon
  6. Hi Andy, Ta for your welcome. It was the first one that actually mentioned MVs!!! You read it correctly. '44 Morris C8. I need a GS wooden body for it, or may sell it without when the rest is done if I can't get hold of one. Yes I know there are plans for a body on the 'net but it doesn't show the floor!! I have access to a few others so it can be done with not much probs. We'll see. I'm after a C4 or CS8 for my radio body. SHame the C8 isn't the one I want as it runs beautifully thanks to the resto the previous ownerd gave it. Currently just a running chassis. I'm refinishing and painting all the bits to go back on but will have bits left over... cheers Simon
  7. Does anyone have an info or pix showing the inside of the Mk3 wireless body fitted to 15 cwt trucks in WW2?? Any pix of these bodies will help actually. Any info appreciated, then I can match it up with the bits I've got for resto cheers Simon
  8. Hi, I met up with Rick in Milton Keynes he told me about the forum, so here I am. I see Tony Corbin and others I know are on here so it's obviously the cool place to be!! Been collection British WW1 and WW2 kit for yonks and had several vehices. Had a few Jeeps but down to one now, as I just sold a project I was sadly not going to get around to. Got a couple of bikes and doing a truck at the moment, but it may go up for sale when it's done to fund something else. Currently I looking for any photos on the inside/outside of the Wireless House Mk 111 body which I'm restoring to go on the back of a C4 or CS8, when I can find one. These bodies are pretty rare. I know there's one in Holland and one in the UK.... Any help much appreciated cheers Simon
