Heres a few pics from that day. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/ENIGINEER%20VEHICLES/ENG9.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/ENIGINEER%20VEHICLES/ENG12.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/ENIGINEER%20VEHICLES/ENG14.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/ENIGINEER%20VEHICLES/ENG3.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/plain-military/HAR1.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/plain-military/HAR2.jpg[/img]. 6. Part of NBC clothing round the neck type thingie. :dunno:
  7. Jessie love the Hurc pic wish mine had came out like that.
  8. NOS The excersise was called Iron revenge and basicly it was to train new recruits in the art of recovering all kinds of military vehicles. They had a whole host of vehicles rangeing from Land rovers to Chieftain MBTs and CHARVs. Here is a link that will shed a bit of light on 6BN http://www.army.mod.uk/reme/6_bn_reme/index.htm If I remember rightly there were about 12 CRARRVs opperating from Fowler BKS. The two days I spent with them were magical these guys work and play hard.
  9. There you go got one bit right. Chears Degsy much appreciated mate.
  10. Deuce I think it is a Catarpiller earth mover. This one belongs to a RAF SQD, can't remember which one. They use them to build make shift runways. As far as Im awear the US don't have them. I think they are still useing the M9 ACE which is designed for the same job. They are not for digging just pushing. The information given maybe totaly wrong and I'm sure someone will soon correct me.
  11. Chears Lee now Im of for a lay down in a darkend room.
  12. Not helicopters then would it be aircraft? If so would it be the back end of the Paveway bomb. It can't be the front end as they come in nice shiny boxs. Or it could be the mines that are fired out of the Shielder tubes. AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH this is driving me nutz :banghead: :banghead:
  13. Hi chaps sorry for the delay but Westdown camp are finalizing my proposed routes for the Plain invasion weekend. I should hopefully know by the weekend weather we have the green light ( FINGERS CROSSED ). I can't work on anything else till I get the licence. Once again sorry for the hold up but these things are taking longer than I thought. Tony
  14. Hellfire for the Apache Longbow attack helicopters.
  15. Heres a few more from my collection. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/Plain%20Military%20wrecks/PM9.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/Plain%20Military%20wrecks/PM11.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/Plain%20Military%20wrecks/PM1.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/Plain%20Military%20wrecks/PM14.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/Plain%20Military%20wrecks/PM6.jpg[/img] http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/Plain%20Military%20wrecks/PM2.jpg[/img] The last picture was a night mare as the chalk was playing havook with the light censer on the Fuji.
  16. Maybe something the RAF would use. IE Bombs for jets. If its ground based weapons could it be Stormer or Shielder Ammo containers.
  17. 1.35th is my preferred scale anything smaller than than normally ends up the hoover or in the dog. Mainly modern British subjects but ran out of options. Found a company in Scotland called Accurate Armour but the prices were a bit on the steep side. It was either my model tanks or the wife. I DO MISS HER    .
  18. Mark I have a Gibbon in the office every day, he's called the manager. I know Terry wont be reading this so I can say what I want.
  19. Hi Tone just been out and brought a Canon 350D. Not had a chance to use it yet and all the buttons on it can get a bit confusing for me. I think I will leave it on auto till I have swated up a bit. Tony
  20. Here we go then, this is my first picture. The photo was take during 6BTLs exercise Iron revenge, 2006. There were a whole host of wrecked vehicles that were brought to the Plain from Ashchurch. This one is a Centurion ARV. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r183/plainmilitary/Plain%20Military%20wrecks/Untitled-1.jpg[/img] Tony
  21. I loved my Fuji S602, many years of abuse on the ranges have turned it into a basket case. R.I.P Fuji 602
  22. Carrying on from the Digital camera thread, What is the best photograph/s you have taken. We all have our favourite pictues that we would like show everyone. It does'nt have to be just Military subjects. Tony.
  23. I totally agree with you John. Fuji are brill, I have been using Fuji for a few years now starting with the Fine pix S602 Zoom. I then went onto a Fine pix S5500 which took a good picture but I found it to be a bit small. I have now switched over to the Canon, the slightly old 350D. Have not had a chance to use it yet. Tony
