future event Rauceby War Weekend 2013
PHIL WOOD replied to Rauceby War Weekend Press's topic in Future events and meetings
Just got back from another fantastic weekend at Rauceby we have had the best turn out of reenactors and vehicles so far the show just gets better and better Paul and Natasha Harper played an absoloute blinder all weekend massive thanks to them Paul even took my jeep for a ride round. Saturday night went really well we had the usual Rauceby rain all night Sunday brightened up and we had the best attendance ever and Monday was very good as well , Tony Pearson and Martin Tasker set up a motor pool fixing poorly vehicles I think martin spent more time under a bonnet than then he did looking round well done lads . The atmosphere was really good all weekend fantastic flypasts by the BBMF vehicle parades ,Special thanks to William Micheal and James for running the rifle drill and grenade throwing for the children I looked across and thought we had a small army I don't where they all came from. The stall holders are all smiling and asking about next year so that's a good sign A massive thanks to all of the helpers who made the show tick with out you it would not happen . The girls in the naafi I think deserve the biggest thanks they worked with out breaks trying to keep the endless line of people fed and watered WELL DONE GIRLS. My biggest biggest thanks must go to William and Fiona Elkington (MR and Mrs Rauceby) who put in so much time and effort to make this show happen he is a really good mate and it is an honour to work with him on this event brilliant well done Roll on next year RAUCEBY 2014.- 13 replies
