  11. Have you tried HO Wildenberg....they had them in stock in may this year only i was not willing to pay what they wanted for the spanner or carraige.......one quick visit to our local blacksmith and one hour later he had made a suitable box spanner......what a guy!!!! Dave
  12. We lived in france for a period in 2009 and attended approx 60 vides through out the year and they are a good source of bits and bobs....don`t forget to haggle!!!!! best buy was a 50 cal wooden ammo crate 7 euros good luck with the lamp idea. Dave
  13. The item which you refer to is known as a antenna tie down..the most information i have found is on the jeep forum (g503) just look in the radio section i think the guys name is willy....nice name if jeeps are your thing!!!!! Dave

Hi Ken, we returned to uk last october we have have been back to normandy twice since then....love the place!! i was given the crate by a friend who had just bought a house and was clearing the garage i know its post war but is in lovely condition seemed a shame to see it end up on a skip!! i will post some pics when have a mo.nice to hear you still ok. the 65th celebrations seem a long while ago now Dave
  21. Hi Guys, I have just been given a wooden military crate it is brown in colour with yellow markings which seem to have been applied over earlier markings on the bottom it says m.22 mk4 sv264a only nothing seems to show up on Goggle also date is 1955 Dave

  24. coming from someone who has owned a wc62 for the past four years........go try one you might just like it!!!! loads of room in the back....no probs keeping up with 51/52`s etc......love it!!!!
