  5. Morning Bob, Brilliant, you`ve still got them. Could i buy them (will fit well in me `Man Cave`) I can pay by PayPal, Cheque or Bank transfer whatever you want. I`m not in any rush to pick them up as i live in Hull, so it`s abit of a trek, but i`ll make a day of it. So if its okay i`ll settle you with the money asp & then arrange to pick them up sometime. Many Thanks Steve H tankysteve@yahoo.com 01482 829463
  6. Hi Rob. I really, really hope the Obturators are still or sale ?? 😊
  7. Brill photos, thanks for taking the time to post them. (looks a bit muddy there this year)
  8. Yes & Yes. Hi, here`s his site on EBay & he has got MTLB bits Steve http://stores.ebay.co.uk/MAGNETY222
  9. Yup, a great dealer especially if your specialty is soviet kit. Bought some great, hard to find manuals & catalogues from him. All items well packaged & arrived safely. He also sends updates on delivery & good feedback.
  10. Wow, what a fantastic job you & your team have done on the old girl Paul. I bet it was a real `labour of love` making those wheel arches especially for an ex RCT vet. Thanks for taking the time to take photo`s & put on photobucket, a nice record. Hopefully it`s final resting place will be right by the camp entrance so everyone can see it & appreciate all the work that`s been put into it. It will certainly get tongues wagging & i`m just waiting for all the stories from the ex RCT lads to come out !! Are you going to put an RCT Sqn door sticker on the doors just to add the finishing touch ? Will continue to `spread the word about `Rusty Trucks` to those that ask. Best Luck for your future projects Steve H
  11. Seen on vehicle park: First one bit of a mystery but a cab is for sale on EBay:http: //www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HMT-600-Supacat-Cab-military-brand-new-ideal-lorry-or-project-4x4-6x6-/130745418973?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item1e7108c4dd The sorry looking `Pig`maybe getting ready for refurb?
  12. Many, Many thanks to all you MV owners, Stallholders, Rex & his `team` & the German Bratwurst bloke (yum) who despite difficult conditions hung in there & laid on a Fabulous show. Having attended for the last 13 years a little bit of mud wasn`t going to put me off. For those who have never been, once in your lifetime you need to go because you won`t believe what is there. Everyone is so friendly & there is a real `buzz` about the place. Heres` a few photo`s of the show:
  13. Many thanks for replys chaps. I think those on Cent were `mods` for Gulf war, Sirhce (see attachment of Cent Arrv.) Yup, plenty of photo`s on line of them fitted to Chieftain ARRV landyandy. Having checked both your profiles very jealous ! Sirhce, great link to MV Restorations, would love to be given a couple of hours to rummage around the CVRT scrapyard with an adjustable ! Where is it ? Landylady, great job you have at Museum. Spent time at Borden teaching HWC. Went for a stroll in hanger oposite guardroom & managed to get inside ZSU 23-4, awesome. Have the museum still got it ? Cheers Tankysteve
  14. Made the annual pilgrimage to spend me Crimbo money. After minor detour-M18 / M1 interchange closed !! still managed to be 1st in Q at 0745 hrs :nut: Stoneleigh really` kick starts the year` & even though there seemed to be more MV`s and less dealers, still thought it was great. Really enjoyed rummaging around the stalls to try & find that elusive item. Had a good chat with `Big Ray` who was showing his Harley at one of the many dioramas. Came away with a bank of Smoke Grenade dischargers, Ferret user handbook & rubber Tank target. Tankysteve (alot more photo`s in Albums section)
  15. Bought this bank of smoke dishcargers from Stoneleigh. However can`t ID vehicle there from. Checked out Chieftain Centurian, 432, Abbot, M109 but no joy. Thanks in advance Tankysteve
  16. Hi; Excellant photo`s, i notice your`e from NZ, bright sunshine so is that where photo`s are taken from is it Ashchurch ?. Here`s some snaps taken at DST of Drops in Training with & without armour. Modern technoligy: laptop for downloading info/clearing faults. If you don`t look after them, it`s all recorded !! Your photo`s are so clear, your camera must have mega high pixels? Happy Weekend Tankysteve
  17. A mighty beast ! a great improvement over the Chieftain ARV, nice pics. Obviously Batus, others Salisbury Plain? Tankysteve
  18. Welcome Trevor; Great to know there`s another `one of us` on the Forum. Me - i served in 2 (you know the ones who absorbed 3 !). Initial look at the web links- very interesting, will peruse later. Happy Cambria Fear Naught Steve
  19. Hi BRDM Driver; Is this your handywork seen at W&P this year ? Steve
  20. Hi Robin Ah, brings back memories of `throwing` tracks on CVRT, sods law at night, in the rain on a boggy track on Soltau, Germany. Seem to remember a quick way to `jump` them back on was to put one of the shackles (that came as part of the CES) over one of the horns of the track & slowly driving forward over it, thus reseating it. Here`s to a Speedy solution Steve
  21. Will it have RCT or RLC badges on the doors Paul ? (quick get me a taxi) Steve
  22. Took a trip down from Hull to show & bought a few goodies for Santa to bring me Some good stands with interesting stuff. Only 1 MV there, i thought there was going to be alot more or was there a seperate autojumble in another part of the showground ? Should have read this post before going & i would have said `hello` to some members with stalls (or is there a case for having an HMVF sticker on show ? ). The last photo is a Cupola Services Switches Box No 22 mk 1, i thought was from a Chieftain but on initial delving maybe not, any members help with ID ? Fear Naught Steve
  23. Hi Paul, No problem, Yup on both counts. Steve
  24. Today i saw ............. Well Paul, your next `winter project` is on it`s way. Good job i had me camera at work today ! If you find the time will be good to see a photo diary of how you`re getting on. Best of luck Steve H
