We will be there!

TV programme on BBC2 Monday 20th. Russia on Four Wheels, featuring a 40 year old Russian jeep and a Kombat T94 tank.
-
Thank you all, the knowledge is appreciated.

Apparently, according to a collector of these things I got in touch with, it is a rare BESA gun sight for the Cromwell and Churchill, only made for one year, if anyone can confirm? It will be put up for sale.
-
PM sent Adrian.

There are 25,17 and 6 pounder shell cases, are you after any Adrian? Not for the same price else I would snap them up! Pairs of shell cases. Thanks for the info all. The Hestons site shows it with sturdy mountings, Lee, this has no mounts, but is as described in their site.
-
Interesting! Sniper scope a world away from artillery scope surely? A load of old 25pr and other shell cases are with it as well. Would they be used for both?
-
The asking price is £70, seems a bit ott to me, but I'm admittedly not an artillery person! Any use to anyone?

Really, really nice!

Yep, charity shops or evilbay.

For another perspective, many have said that "Bomber" Harris would/should have been tried as a war criminal with the bombing campaigns against the general population of Dresden etc. Not all Germans were Nazi's...

I always found Cliff and his daughter very friendly to deal with over the phone. Long may they prosper.

Really good to see, thanks for the share. Is that a monkey sitting on the sandbags in one of them?
-
..and collided with Dame Edna Everidge....

Thanks Richard, so no way of knowing the date of manufacture then I assume?

Lets not forget Mr Marchant and his role in this as well. Probably responsible for the whole MV movement. A very modest man but a wealth of knowledge and vehicles. He still has several very large outbuildings full of MV's still in original wartime paint, all he does is maintain them so that they run. I have seen a few Universal Carriers, CMP's a couple of dozers running. There is still a lot in his sheds that never sees the light of day. He recently brought one of his CMP's to our show and on chatting to him he revealed that he was also responsible for clearing out all the POW camps from the Beds/Bucks area. He still has all the POW records. When I was restoring the C8 he told me that he had just taken a load of C8 parts to the scrap man as part of a clear out!

Perhaps a jobs section, or employment?

A good museum actually. Not much in the way of vehicles but the armoured elephant is quite a spectacle!
Of course it's not in London so how long it stays free (or even open) is a moot point.
Last time I went there was a fella moored in the dock outside who had converted his narrowboat into a replica u boat and filled it with u boat memorabilia - very interesting! At the time the council or British Waterways or someone were trying to depth charge him so probably long gone
I saw that on the Grand Union canal earlier on this year!
