It seems that they do have two sockets, I obviously hadn't noticed on mine - it's probably got the blanking plug inserted.

I wonder if these sockets are wired in parallel? So either socket would power it up.
The reason might be that this could be used in some other vehicle as well with different supply locations or it was a means to daisy-chain equipment so that it could provide an output for say a map reading light, the connectors look similar for that.
I was wondering that, but aren't they both male? I'd expect one to be female if was a daisy chain output?

That's odd, I don't recall my one having two power sockets?

It definitely would be easier! As a Chartered Electrical Engineer I just used Mark 1 eyeball and a multimeter. 🙂

Unfortunately not as mine is an add-on because I don't have a 24V alternator, rather a 24V converter run off the 12V alternator. I just looked at the internals and worked out what to do. The AESP (2320-E-200-302) doesn't show the diagram for the TCB carrier variant, which is annoying.

It's not a tank either!
(If they want it removed I'll be happy to take it!)

I think that it would be much more fun to set up an escort agency and you don't need any insurance.
Might need public liability insurance, perhaps? 🙂

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) UK has reaffirmed its commitment to vehicle security, ensuring vehicles are protected and updated with the latest technology to prevent thefts.

Any chance they might do the obvious and revert to mechanical locks? 🙂

I continue to be amazed that the manufacturers of Chelsea Tractors don't do something about their woeful vehicle security. They just seem content to pass the problem to the insurance companies and thence to all of us in increased premiums all round. Does anyone really need keyless entry or ignition?

It's amazing that no one mentions the engine being in the middle of the vehicle.
Are we absolutely sure that was the case, Mark? Some drawings or interior photos would be really helpful.

A lot of training films that SKC / SSVC made were all passed to BFI, which will probably never see the light of day.
I know, I've been hunting for Abbot training films. 😞

That may be so, but there's nothing stopping people from using other sites to host their photos on here?

Its not anything to do with Sadiq Khan but the FCA, who want to stop dodgy money coming from abroad, so they then say to banks if this is not stopped we will fine Uk banks millions. The banks then are forced to close peoples accounts but the system has no appeal mechanism.
I think you misunderstood - my point was wondering whether Sadiq Khan would face the same issue exporting vehicles to Ukraine.

How much of it is because the Government (and I mean the civil servants, not the politicians) want to sell brand new vehicles to Ukraine so they and that large weapons/vehicle company can make all the money
Zero, I'd have thought - how long would it take to manufacture those vehicles?

Let's see if Sadiq Khan has the same problem: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-67810726

The easiest solution would be for the Government to TELL the bank concerned to disregard the Money Laundering Regulations in respect of Nick and exporting AFVs to Ukraine. As I understand it, most of the money is coming from private sources rather than the Ukrainian government. If the Government handled the sale, it would still have the problem of taking money from unverifiable sources.
Ministers have indicated in Parliament that "the complete integrity of the Money Laundering Regulations is more important than facilitating the export of AFVs to Ukraine". If you are in contact with your MP, of whatever political colour, ask them whether this is a sensible policy or not.
I have been trying to help Nick all this year but have still failed to be able to do so. I did find out that many banks have been quietly debanking the Defence Industry without anyone knowing. Ministers are now on that case but still will not sort out Nick's problem.

Thanks John - I've just pinged Penny Mordaunt, so if you manage to bump into her ...

Thanks for the update Nick. I know you were happy with my FV432 (08EA21) because I think you said so in one of the videos!

I don't suppose you've got any FV430 track clamps going spare, Bob? A friend in the USA is after some for his Abbot.
