    Yes, good point Degsy, so why take the fence down to allow people to fall into the shafts, when the work is not yet completed, beggars belief. Yes, Im sure KCC will win and he will have to take the fence down, but it all seems a bit over the top to be honest. Do they not appreiciate what He and his helpers are doing for this long demolished, forgotten site, which is of importance in the defence of this country in the battle of Britain. Ramblers..ramble else where for a while...

    Some scenes from the film Batman begins were filmed there, parts of Gotham City were built inside, the film was codenamed 'the intimidation game', I think Warner Bros restored the hanger before filming.     Was at the Battle of Britain museum at Hawkinge couple of days ago and discovered they have the remains of one in their grounds, i spotted a blue hatch and inside were the rusty workings of the fort, they should restore it.

    I've been doing a little research on the V1/V2 missile sites of Northern France and would like to do a recce on a few of the coastal sites, initially, then move more in-land towards the underground stuff (possibly on another trip). Would anyone be interested in a day-trip to Calais for a mooch around in some undergrowth in France!?
