  1. Jarek will not rip you off gents.....can't you bring them in as vintage vehicles? Anything made before 1989 in Australia isn't taxed ( esp military stuff :cool2:)
  2. I can honestly say that Jarek has bent over backwards for me, he deals with a top notch shipper called Dalton, and I can speak very highly of him too. After the problems I had with the SKOT and MTLBu, this has been an huge relief. They are their own exporters, so you don't have to deal with a middle man. Ask Paul O Brien he deals with them too.............!:-D
  3. The UAz comes from MOTO-ARMIA, made in 1989. Cost including new paintwork, about 3000 AUST, about 1900 GBP.
  4. The SKOT wasn't as bad, BUT they did not put the off road tyres on as instructed to do and threw them into the back of the SKOT....... Some ugliness inside and out, mainly underneath hadn't been cleaned..... Good news...though. The BRDM-2 has been painted on the outside
  5. The vehicles turned up at Bremerhaven in a filthy condition, wether a hatch had been left open on the MTLBu I don't know, but this is what it looked like... The gear box had been replaced but they never cleaned up after wards.... None of the road wheels had been cleaned either.... Aussie quarantine would have had a field day, 110 EURO per hour to clean, the MTLBu took seven hours and Iam told the SKOT took another 5. Wasn't very impressed
  6. SKOT and MTLBu finally loaded onto the ship and on their merry way to Australia at last!!
  7. how can I put a floor on the MTLBu? Any suggestions? Cheers Troy
  8. How about a DANA :wow:......The exporter didn't bother cleaning them......the shipper did it....cost 110 EURO per hour, spent 7 hours on the MTLBu and same again on the SKOT. The exporter was supposed to put off road tyres on the SKOT and instead of changing the road tyres over as asked just threw them in the back of the SKOT . UNBELIEVABLE........what a bunch of numptys.
  9. The SKOT and MTLBu are now at Bremerhaven, shipped out on Sunday :cool2:
  10. The SKOT and MTLBu now in Germany, getting ready to be shipped out on the 16th September. MAN...it has been a long session ( and painfully expensive :embarrassed: ) taken one year to get them here. Can't wait to see and hear them though . BRDM-2, UAz and the MW-650 arrive in Melbourne on the 5th of November. Will make a great convoy going down the roads of Tasmania....turn a few heads it will.....except the MTLBu has to be trucked. What next, I don't know :nut: LOL. Cheers Troy
  11. I'm no grease monkey....could be a blown head, sounds just like what happened to my Fox. Complete engine re build for me. If you need parts or a new motor give Jarek a call at MOTO -ARMIA, he can help you. DO NOT GO WITH POLISH MILITARY VEHICLES FOR SPARES OR VEHICLES
  12. Should have been "Warspite"....Jutland veteran
  13. Thanks for the great comments fellas! There is one other SKOT in Australia and that is at Puckapunyal, it hasn't been started in over 15 years and is a very sad, sad state. As far as I know there are not very many MTLBu's floating around the place. I suppose they would be similar to drive as the MTLB? So that begs the question LOL, how do you drive one of these?? Cheers Troy
  14. Tell him I said G'day LOL.....he should have started work on the BRDM-2 by then. Cheers Troy PS The SKOT and MTLBu leave for Bremerhaven on the 27th August, Iam hoping my arm will be healed enough so that I can drive them , NOT allowed to drive for seven weeks
  15. Have a chap here that can do a 50 up to look like one. Reckon that will do :cool2:
  16. Lads What can you say are the pros and cons between the UAz 469 and the GAz 69? Iam in a split mind at the moment.
  17. Yes mate...Moto Armia.......they are also helping get back my money from that other piece of snot! LOL They won't fit in my driveway though! Should cause a stir when I drive the SKOT/ BRDM-2 on the road Cheers Troy Can't wait to drive them.....hopefully they won't break down after two hours
