  1. There has not been much activity on the Cletrac projects in the last few years. Interested in what progress has been made. I completed my restoration of my '44 a little over a year ago. It is mostly complete with all the hard to find items in place. I have the original top bows but have been unable to locate a top. Does anyone know of an original that can have detailed picture taken? I know there is a very complete ex-RAF Cletrac with original canvas located somewhere in UK/Europe but I have been unable to determine its whereabouts. I have constructed a 90% accurate top pattern from photos but due my overly anal tendency for the details I have yet to have one produced. I would be more than willing to compensate someone that can provide detailed photos and measurements of an original top. The owner of the only know top in the USA has been unwilling to allow his to photographed (states he wants to have them produced and sell them but has yet to do so). I am also in need of the upper side engine panels. Any help there would be appreciated. We have been fortunate to take it to a few military events, mostly supporting WW2 aircraft and have also been able to use it as intended, towing a plane. Check it out on youtube Cletrac owners post some updates. Would love to see what is out there now. Thanks, Scott Mattison Belton, SC, USA 44 Cletrac M2 44 CCKW353
  2. Here are the measurements. They should be accurate to within a mm or two. They were taken on my Cletrac that has all auxiliary equipment installed. It has the heavier 4 cylinder air compressor so you see more squat on the rear of the tractor. I am sure the age of the springs contribute to this but the squat is common to all Cletrac M2s that I have seen, including vintage photos. all measurements in mm A=2698 B=763 C=850 D=1170 E=830 F=690 G=1040 H=795 J=518 K=494 L=565 M=481 N=68 (these tracks have very little use and the pads are almost new) If you have any question on these measurements please e-mail me and I can re-measure or take any additional measurements.
  3. Don't know if you have the measurements yet but I have printed the drawing and will get them this weekend. Will try to post them Sunday night.
  4. Hello one and all. My name is Scott Mattison from Belton, South Carolina, USA. I have been interested and collecting WWII items for as long as I can remember. I specialize mostly in Signal Corp telephone equipment and test equipment but have a little of everything (or nothing depending on how you look at it) from Engineers to Cooks. Vehicles are my passion and I currently own two CCWK353-B2 and two Cletrac M2. Have also owned a GPW but traded it off for the last Cletrac. I am a sucker for the weird and unusual. I am also into antique farm equipment, mostly Cletrac crawlers and due to the lack of military type shows in the southeastern USA that is where I go to display equipment. I am glad to have found this site and look forward to reading the post.

    Cletrac MG.

    P. Marriott, I am new to this site. Just stumbled across it this morning as I was looking up info on Cletrac M2's. I have two of them (see pics), one is a 43 built by John Deere and the other is a 44 built by Oliver/Cletrac. Between the two I have all the parts to complete as close to a 100% original M2 as you can get with lots of spares. I may be able to help you out with some of your needs but unfortunately I am located on the other side of the pond so shipping on larger items will most likely be prohibitive. Let me know what you still need and I will see what I can do to help. These things are far too rare and unique not to keep them going. Scott Mattison "44 CCKW353 times 2 '43 Cletrac M2 "44 Cletrac M2
