  1. I'm often curious to note how people will spend a fortune restoring their pride 'n' joy then in a moment of madness thrash it through a solution of saltwater, sewage and sand... a kind of WD40 in reverse!!

  7. Very sad, all the best to his family. The museum is a superb tribute to the men who served there, and they certainly seemed to appreciate the efforts you all went to, well done... It must mean a lot to them to see their contributions (rightly) honoured.

  10. orientation is sometimes a factor... ie if they're held upside down they won't budge... hold it in the position its fitted in the vehicle and the usually come out okay
  11. Dunno if i'd stop to be honest... Getting the Dodge back up to what is still a very slow top speed (in motorway terms) takes time and before you know it you've got something sliding up behind you doing 70+ in the slow lane.. Dodgy
  12. There are also connecting rods from the forks to the track drive mechanism which act a bit like the tillers on a tank. A guy in our group has one.. they're brilliant machines.

A wonderful weekend in great company... a superb run round the perry track in Adrians Sherman, a blast in the museums WC62, a crackin' hangar dance, fantastic museum staffed by genuine enthusiasts... crud weather but hey... historically accurate weather anyway so they even got that right...top stuff! Apologies to Adrian if i stretched the co-drivers hatch getting in... I closed it when i got out but the lid fell into the tank... sorry bout that! *ahem*

  15. AAAAWWW CRAAAAAP! Thats harsh... still looks like the damage is mostly engine bay & bonnet... coulda been a lot worse... I remember standing at a car boot sale last year watching some poor fella stood by the side of the road as his pristine 1930's Singer Roadster went up completely!

  17. there's clearly some kind of static electrical discharge occurring through the metal bodywork... look at the poor guys hair! Its like driving a bloody vandergraph generator!
