  1. I think the real question is Would you sell your vehicle? As you don't really have any control over what happens to your vehicle once it passes out of your hands, buyers will tell you what you want to hear when they're reaching for their wallet, but beyond that it's theirs to do with as they please regardless of historical importance/work done... Lets face it your own vehicle is yours... (except that it isn't... it's probably had umpteen previous owners in the case of vintage stuff, each of whom had their own idea of what should be done with it/to it). The best we can be is carefull custodians of this stuff... and once fuel supplies dry up they'll all wind up static anyway
  2. I haven't no but I'll have a look as i just downloaded a load of static mp3 soundbites for the WWII Airforce radios i've got in the truck (which are also mp3'd now)
  3. dont you think you've got enough tractors
  4. I found a bakelite 30's type very similar to the US military set. It was goosed so i ripped out all the valves to make room for the speakers and CD player (now replaced with an MP3)... looks the part, sounds good as the sound is coming from the case
  5. Nah I'm through with trying to convert them... besides that wonderful look in their eyes when they realise the true path to happiness lies with a Dodge is wonderous to behold Hear me now... testify...!
  6. Buy a knackered period radio... gut it and put an MP3 inside thats the best way.
  7. Welcome Matt... Sure there'll be someone along to point you on the road to Jeepness
  8. Are they anywhere near 'King Kids Youthclub?'
  9. Well not through the reference section anyway But if you feel the urge to put on an HMVF "Kickstart" event through Jacks Mills & Boon collection, go for it Welcome by the way
  10. Yup I got halfords stuff too it's very good...
  11. Tell that john to get his ass back in the garage and finish Elvis's K3
  12. looks very like footwear leather patterns
  13. I thought that the immobilising charge rendered it unuseable rather than vapourising it... blowing the turret to bits looks more like battle damage to me
  14. Excellent stuff how do they cope with cooling with the rad covered or is it ducted from underneath or if the rad elsewhere?
  15. Hi Don't think so no

Not overly keen on Sat night traffic in the dodge on blackpool prom ... did it once.. never again!!! Too much like a war zone... If the lights turn red ... keep goin' !!

  16. And when it arrives the flat thing will be bended and the bended thing flat!!
  17. Don't count on it!! Most dealers have a very narrow field of 'expertise' One of the dealers i regularly haunt has little or no idea about WWII stuff ... An original D-Day leaflet for £5 A collection of US Garrison Caps (9 in all) including an Airborne Artillery Enlisted with original Glider/AB patch... £20 the lot! About 6 different propaganda leaflets (allied ones dropped on the Axis and vice versa) £3 each!!! & Yeah UV light... older patches don't glow under UV light whereas the threads and materials in modern ones do (by no means definitive but a good starting point) But for my money it looks crappily made enough to be original & you're right, there are dozens of variations of the same design, british made, 'theatre made' bullion etc etc Consistency was not an issue during WWII
