1. Hi, I haven't seen a 4x4 1942 model, most of them seen in Australia were 4x2 Stakesides, both the military and some civilian firms used them, and of course US Forces in Australia had them. I shall post it on mapleleaf site Brett and see if any one can help. Cheers, Norm
2. Hi Everybody, I took this shot at the Clifton Flyin, remains of paint look like ex military service, I have never seen one of these as a 6x4, presume a lazy axle fitted post war, looking at the grain body would think it carried more than 3 ton, also presume fitted with a V8, I am sorry I didn't take more notice at the time. Does anyone have any thing on these vehicles? Cheers, Norm
3. Hi All, Here is one MC still working for a living carting water in Queensland when Noosa was just a village. It would have been too late for refugee cargo, so maybe ex RN or RAF. Since moving to Queensland in 1978 I haven't seen any sign of it. Cheers, Norm
4. Hi Everybody, Can any one help me to find a site to track down WD nimbers for the various guns used during WW2, if not, how were they identified ? Cheers, Norm

Hi All, Thought you might like a shot of this Sierra Leone aircraft operating Australia in 2001, being used to drop parachutists on the beach at Caloundra. Cheers, Norm
8. Hi All, Can anyone tell me if the military vehicles carrying prewar number plates were renumbered on the outbreak of WW2, or carried them till disposal ? Cheers, Norm
9. Hi Tim, I would be very surprised if we had any Studebakers left, all that we had at 6 Fd were disposed of as the Mk3's arrived around 1965, a few tippers and Workshop vehicles lingered on, the last one I photographed in serivice was a GS with water tank fitted for fire duries at Fort Direction in Tasmania. Cheers, Norm
10. Hi everybody, I recently joined your forum as I have been interested in Military vehicles for many years, over the past 30 years I have been photographing both old and new vehicles, mostly Australian with a few others visiting this country on exercises, and I am also interested in British WW2 vehicles, quite a few of these turned up out here on the roads post WW2. I served with the CMF 6 Field Rgt as a gun tractor driver for six years between 1963 and 1968, when the Rgt used Studebaker US6 GS vehicles, followed by the International Mk3, a great vehicle.
