Probably a long shot but in the 60s there was something like that in the old cavalry barracks Kirkey/mickman Colchester when the Foot and Mouth was going round it may have been the bleach mix I was only a little lad then but it stuck in my memory.

I'm after two British 105mm tank shell cartridge cases. To be specific, I'm after one coded 'RW242' on the base for a practice shell and one coded 'RW303' for a smoke shell.

 

Would anyone have any for sale or know of where to find them?

Our usual dog walk these days is down to the ranges gates - or a variation on that theme . I've been telling my wife about the place and what used to be there and where we boys used to explore a lifetime ago ! That's made me wonder if there are any photographs of the place in it's earlier days . There are still a couple of bits of concrete outside the gates where the Horsa blocks used to be but I've not got any pics of those and although I remember the barns that used to be inside the gates , before the 'new' control tower was built , I never photographed any of those either - not even sure I had a camera in those days ! Just wondering .

I use to go down to a place called Friday Woods in the 60s wow that long ago there was all sorts once upon a time and I was forever being told off for bringing (STUFF).home that had to be disposed off as my dad was in the Army. I followed him and am still picking up old bits.

For sale 12 x 12 tent: canvas top, steel poles + liner. Some minor repairs were done to the canvas ages ago and it was re-waterproofed a few years back.
