  4. September 7,8 and 9 2012 in eastern part of the Netherlands the biggest MV-event in the country! Organized by the Dutch MV organisation Keep them Rolling: www.twente-achterhoekweekend.nl Featuring the "Red Ball Express" , a special route on Saturday 8 September for Red Ball Vehicles only including some realisting Red Ball Displays at certain locations. We are also trying to get the biggest quantity of GMC´s together! 100+ should be possible! On Sunday 9 September we have the beautifull and spectacular 45km tank route along some excellent and historic roads including a spectacular confrontation with a German train in a small town! This is a perfect oppertunity to take your tank for a ride, and perfect for radial engines! ..unlike Mons.. We hope to see you in September! Cheers, Auke
  5. Although I have posted a few messages in the past, I never introduced myself so here we go. I am Auke Dijkstra from Haaksbergen Holland. I got my first MV in 1989 and like most of you it started to get worst from then on.. My vehicles are mainly WW2 and there are also some armoured vehicles. The armoured ones are: a M3A1 Stuart , a M5A1 Stuart, a T-16 and a Sherman/Grizzly. The other MV's: GPW, early MB, Humber Heavy Utility 4x4, Chevy Panel K-51, Chevy 1.5 ton 4x2 dump, Dodge T110 dump, Federal 604 + trailer, Federal 606 and a Cushman box scooter. For pulling and lifting we have a FV-434. Every second weekend of September we organize for the Dutch "Keep Them Rolling" organisation one of the best MV events in NWE and certainly the biggest in the Netherlands. We have a very nice 45 km tank route along normal roads and the beautifull countryside and a part of the route follows the advance made by the British Guards Armoured Division and 43 Wessex Division in april '45. There is always a large quantity of WW2 MV's attending and many are very rare. This is our website: www.twente-achterhoekweekend.nl . Cheers, Auke
  6. Hello Jack, Is it possible to participate in this event from overseas? We would like to bring a T-16 (or M3A1 Stuart) and a M5A1 Stuart and maybe a M10 Achilles. Thanks, Auke
  7. Steve, yes.. off course. Sherman II's is what they are. Regards, Auke
  8. Hello guys, I came across this thread and would like to show you a picture of British Sherman I's in Nijmegen in probably 1944. They could be Guards or 8th Arm. Brgde. Although there were only a few, they were still used in around September 1944 (or later). Auke
