  1. "Some Karrier K6 spares including engines, body parts, axle, suspension, winch, gearbox, transfer box etc." Cheers, we are looking to have some spares for our Humber Armoured Cars,
  2. I agree, but for Brit/Canadian collecting in the USA, it has to do more with spares and access I think, we have tons of US vehicles and parts available, but at the same time it is the USA, I agree I would like to see more British vehicles saved, but we can only do so much, need to get more of the younger generation interested in saving them too...but as you can see, there are still plenty of vehicles sitting out there, that owners bought 20-40 years ago and they are sitting around.
  3. Cheers mate, still figuring out what to do with her, she will goto Holland first, for maybe some work there and then maybe to the US, or she may sit for a year or so and do some events over there. If she doesn't have the optics, then I will definitely take it...Cant wait to see the other toys you have come to life!!
  4. We do in some older cities and towns, might just have to do it on a old gravel road etc, will be hard to find something like that, but hey, will be good to get 2 heavies, bren carrier and a halftrack together for a pic.
  5. It was used by the Portuguese Marines :cool2:.. plans are to restore it like our other Humber Mk IV, so we can have 3 heavies in our unit, 2 HAC MK IV's and 1 DAC MKI. We are going to try and recreate this picture in a year or so.
  6. True barn find, one owner for 35 years, he bought it from the Portuguese military and then parked it, it is very complete and in a good nick, he started taking it apart a few years ago for a refresh. Ended up getting rid of the Humber Scout Car, since I have always fancied the Humber heavy.....plus it has a turret and goes boom... .
  7. It is a lot of cash, but when you put in the man hours and the tons of parts that were reproduced from measurements from the UK and Samur it was a helluva job, not counting the newly made track from Germany...all new reproduction road wheels etc..
  8. Try over 200K USD for the replica Luchs....That is what it cost, Randy currently has the supplies to build 2 more, and he is also working on the Pzr IV project, which will be newly made components along with new chassis in conjunction with a famous group in Europe that rebuilds and repairs Panzers...
  9. Awesome job on the 90, glad to see the old girl coming back to life!!!
  10. I would probably say "yes" w/o having the answer. That seems the most feasible.
  11. I talked to Bob yesterday, he is not producing the parts, he is a go between, there is a gentleman that owns several cromwell and charioteer chassis and has been looking for parts for years, he has several foundries and business in the area, the gentleman does not have time to go out and find potential buyers, so Bob is doing that for him, parts will be newly made, casted and or produced.
  12. As a previous Charioteer owner that was going to turn it back into a Cromwell, I searched for several years to find a turret, there are some in Greece on pedestals, but like everyone said, hard to find and as scarce as rocking horse ****, I tried to do a deal with some museums, trading my toys for a wrecked chassis to get a turret ring and turret for mine, but to no avail, Adrian B, could possibly make one up if you tempted him enough, and I bet Rick could too, we discussed the Saladin turret ring when I was going to do mine, I looked at the centaur and was thinking of a howitzer, but then again you can always do a Cromwell kangaroo (but this is a centaur), there weren't many made but it is an option too, there is a fake turret/howitzer at Cobbaton on their Centaur/dozer made back into a tank, they have an original turret there they will switch it too. Good luck:D Or turn it into a Centaur AVRE and use it to pull your other big toys...
  13. Rick, looks like CC military has some spares, this was on Ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Centurion-Tank-Radiators-Ex-Army-Ex-Military-/222277305471?hash=item33c0c2847f:g:kUQAAOSw-itXrg9V
  14. I have a 43 MKII* for sale if interested, send me a PM if you want. http://s141.photobucket.com/user/lssah2025/slideshow/1943%20Bren%20Carrier%20Ford%20MK%20II?sort=3
  15. Looking for a pair of Hotchkiss SPz drive wheels, and or Schutzenpanzer SPz Kurz.
  16. Interested in the Ex -Raf 110, will PM for details.
  17. There has been some confusion on the markings over the years, the correct would be a square with green over white with a square line not a angled line. But I have seen both types of markings. The jeep above is a HQ vehicle A diamond for Headquarters Troop, triangle for A Troop, circle for C Troop, and square for D Troop. In the center of these markings is a number. Probably a vehicle loading number within the squadron, e.g. 15 inside square (D Troop), 18 inside circle ( C Troop), 21 inside triangle (A Troop).
  18. Just love watching jeeps with repro parts go for big bucks, I guess a repro frame tag is good for business.
  19. Welcome aboard from across the pond,,,,further..then the others...
  20. Hard core working in a tent doesn't compare to someone working in a made up shop with leftover walls and roof and newly poured concrete floor in the middle of the U.K.
