  1. What you have is part of the CES for the Cougar family of vehicles, Mastiff, Ridgeback and Wolfhound. The spade, rake/hoe and Broad or narrow picks attach to the head of the axe by R clips with the head of the axe pointing upwards. Not an easy tool to use.

good luck then, because why would anyone sell you a "cheap" deac when plenty of places show what others are asking for them?
Unless of course they (and you) are looking to evade the law?

Or could be the law trying to trap someone!

  3. Some photos of Martin's DROPS pulling the sled at the 2017 Heddington & Stockley steam rally, also a Scammell Pioneer which didn't quite make a full pull due to a fluffed gear change and a Foden 6x6 wrecker which did make a full pull.

All this happened on the Saturday evening after the public had left.

  4. There was a No.19 radio case in my dad's  garage, he died 3 years ago and we haven't got round to the daunting task of clearing the garage out.

The garage was a prefab house and the last 10 feet of it (where I last saw the 19 set cabinet) is literally up to the roof!

My brothers and myself have set a date in  August to clear everything out, if the 19 set cabinet is still there I will let you know.

  5. UIN stands for Unit Identification Number which every unit in the British Army has its own unique number. Army UINs begin and end in A. I don't know about Navy and RAF but it is fair to assume that they begin and end in N and R respectively. I'll try to look up A1021A at work tomorrow.

  6. I was at Arborfield then, intake 73A we were originally issued with 48 pattern battledress trousers and used 38 pattern webbing.

I'm front left in the photo which was taken outside the 3 storey block, or JEEPland, opposite those 13 bunkers that I had to run over god knows how many times.

  7. 633 Squadron has a lot of incorrect vehicles in it, a Series 1 Land Rover, a Fordson Major pulling a bomb trailer, but what really takes the biscuit is the scene with the top brass driving up to the guardroom and a MINI drives past the aerodrome entrance.

  8. That would be a West German Bundeswehr Essenbehalter, which roughly translates as food carrier, it should have an removable aluminium liner and a spoon and ladle that clip in the inside of the hinged lid. I bought 2 of these a few years ago off German eBay, they were quite cheap but delivery was expensive.
