  1. Three triangular thingy's that fit onto CVR(T) scopes. Any use, any offers ?
  2. Could it off an early wartime Alvis bomb trolley ?
  3. One of the very best war films (!?) Operation Dunkirk 2017. An American film that shows many ,'many' instances of utter rubbish displayed on the screen. Too many to mention but M5 Stuarts as German tanks, post war very clean Jeeps complete with Allied Star, BTW they leave that and go waltzing off into the maize. The Germans have a Bazooka and in the same scene have SMG's that have 100+ round mags. I recorded it from yesterday so I will make a list.....
  4. It must twenty odd years ago but I remember it was dark and I was caught on loose but jammed sheet metal panels.
  5. A good while ago there was one at a touristy sort of place called Botany Bay near Chorley, Lancs. For some reason, I forget now, we were there and the AMX intrigued us. and in we went. No room at all, drivers hatch was closed and trying to get it open from the fighting compartment I got seriously stuck. most unpleasant, on my own I would be still there.....
  6. Try the IWM Collections, they have quite a lot of photos, BTW it might take some searching
  7. I have this original, published Hamburg 1945, book. I has 'lots' of photographs and coloured maps, and quite rare. £40 here before it is sold elsewhere.
  8. This does not look like a 6 pr. I have a 2 pr in front of me and placed it at the side of my hand as in the photo. It is surprising that the press can get something wrong.....
  9. Thanks for the compliments, both Steve and me enjoy doing them, been at it now since 1986, plenty more to go at.....
  10. This I like. I do a lot of studying of Great War photos and this seems like I am on The Great War Forum with the informative answers and comments. The last modern aerial shows the terraces and I think that is the place.
  11. I am no expert on US vehicles. Can someone tell me what this is please? It is on Facebook and everyone thinks it is a genuine action photo. However I think it is an exercise at Slapton sands. The landscape does not seem France nor is there anything going on on the beach.
  12. I was given a copy of the very worst book ever. 'Catch That Tiger' by Noel Botham & Bruce Montague it is an otter fairy story but is supposed to be true. I will give one episode, when bringing the captured Tiger back to England. On the deck of the transport the chaps who so called captured it engage a U Boat with he the 88mm gun. I quote' The Tiger lifted several inches despite the heavy ropes lashing it to the deck' What is several ? 3 or 4 inches and heavy ropes. would it not be chains ? It is written like a comic, there is worse....
  13. Robin No, they are all steel..... I think I have 8 of them but will check. Thanks Bob
  14. I have a few NOS, in wooden boxes, RR B80 & B81 flywheels. Any use to anyone, not expensive......
  15. Thought that I had one but it turned out to be for a Sampson, a new one as well.
  16. Try Dale at Heyward Tanks, I sold him a lot of take off parts.
  17. Battleships ? Sunk by soldiers ? very poor reporting (but what do we expect nowadays..)
  18. Well I am learning fast. A lot of info that I need to digest in the Model T Forum. Thank you all again...
  19. Thank you. The Lovett info was excellent reading. Perhaps I should have said in the first instance that I need the colour or as our colonial friends say 'color' of the 1918 Ford 3 Ton Tank...
  20. I don't think I am really stupid but I don't know the answer to this. What is the colour that was applied to American equipment in 1918 ? Thanks, I am sure someone here will know....
  21. In the early 1990's three of us, not REME trained, had the L60 out in 50 minutes.
