Head back on and just starting to reconnect ancillaries
Running again today. Sounds a lot better. Well done to all concerned. Kieran.

The round plate is the coil cover I think and the square one distributor cover.
-
The bracket above Start ya bastard is a protecting plate to protect the fuel filter under the batteries.

We thought the water pump would be in the way of removing cylinder head? But its no harm taking it off to have a look at its condition whilst we had so much disconnected.

Latest editon to IMVG fleet. This Saracen (Mk1?? - old style turret with piston ports) was last driven @ 2002 during the making of the movie "Bloody Sunday" and possibly "Reign of Fire" - both filmed in Ireland. Data plate is missing from inside but reg no is 32 BA 84 and it has alv205 stamped into armour above read doors. After its movie career it was sold onto a paint ball site were it lay dormant till late this Summer. Obviously its in quite a sad state at the moment. We are currently trying to source a supplier for a head gasket to suit as one of the spark plugs has rusted in place and partially disintergrated so will probably have to remove head to get at this. Engine did fire up before this and we are in the process of fitting electronic ignition as well. Doe's anyone has any knowledge of its history whilst in the Army?

When I got the V5 the chassis number and engine number are the same. As the V5 was a new one as the PO had lost the old one I had hoped it was a recent mistake and that DVLA would be able to look at the previous record. This was naïve of me as it seems I got fat chance of that.
So have been trying to find the correct chassis number with no luck thus far. It is supposed to be located as per the white box below on the LHS are on the RHS a bit further forward. A lot of them have ID plates on the outside of the cab, but no luck on that one also......... so having a dummy spit at present

On the Irish Acmats the chassis no is on the left side the same as outlined above also on steering colm side where it meets the chassis on top of the chassis

yep very nice. I seen the vehicles before as not much info out there but the rebuild photos are very useful for me as I have to plan everything in advance.
Is that your winch handles beside the seat?
My rear tailgate latch bits that are welded to the tray uprights are missing and havent seen anything similar on Ebay as yet, so still looking. Bought a new heater last night, so moving along.
I nearly forgot, I am guessing there is no reverse lights?
If you need any particular photos of parts no problem. No reversing lights also when checking the brake lights engine must be running. I will take photo of tailgate clips for I see you you have bought the original tail gate roll bar tank and guards the 2 post top brackets are in the same place.E MAIL WITH ANY REQUESTS AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO HELP YOU.Iwill be starting another Acmat restoration soon.Kieran.

Many hands make light work. No real rust issues. Check under front Wings and rear bed for any hidden issues.
