  1. Attached a photo of the Waco and jeep at the museum in Carlisle, which is due to reopen this week. The jeep is completely finished but the glider has still a few small jobs left to do. Will take a better photo when the temporary screens are removed which will show the cockpit in the raised position. As stated in one of the previous posts its only the cockpit, part of the fuselage and about 20' of one wing, as the space in the museum only allows this. Hope this is of interest, anyone passing through Carlisle it would be well worth a visit. Andrew
  2. Thanks Jan and Richard, he was in REME and believe it was Workshop 47. Was always interested in motorcycles after the war and used to do scrambling so that would figure that it may have been a competition. Can you tell from the photo where it was likely to have been taken? Andrew
  3. Hello All, Can anyone help in identifying any information in this picture? I know it was taken around 1947 when my uncle was in Palestine, but not sure if its was over there. What type of bike is this and does anyone know what the shield might be. Very grateful for any information anyone can provide. Thanks Andrew
  4. Happy New Year Everyone. Here's a photo of the other Bedford when I got it about 3 years ago. Its changed abit since then, will perhaps start a new thread on this vehicle in the new year. Andrew
  5. Here goes, hope this works. Hopefully a pictiure of the QLD. Andrew
  6. Thanks for the welcome everyone. Shane, not sure how to upload pictures yet, or what size to resize them too. Once I work it out will put some pictures on. Andrew
  7. Hello Everyone, my name is Andrew, I live in the north of Cumbria. Have been browsing the forum for a year or so, but never posted. I have a 1942 Willys Jeep, and 1944 Bedford QLD, and a 1942 Bedford QLB undergoing restoration. Happy New Year to everyone. Andrew
