    Hi mate.

     

    As i say I have thousands of them. in the factory, on test, and on MOD trials.

    plus many many more of all the unipower vehicles that we built and watford and at east molsey.

    When I have a lot of time i will up load all of them on to my website.

    It was all to do with the price. and not the quality. the Goverment went for the cheaper option and not the quality option. just take how long the mod had the commander.

    I don't think the Osh will last that long. A.L.E seem to like the old girl and wish they could get there hands on some more.But alas

    there was only the one 8x8 built. but there was 9 6x6 versions built for Oman.

    Scammell S24 or Leyland Landtrain

    Hi Grumpy.

    Scammells all so built the Landtrain at Watford for Export and the UK so it

    could be one of them. There were some hybreeds built which had S24 and Landtrain merged together. Have you got any photos. As I may have the vehicle in my Scammell photo history Docs.

    http://www.marcusglenn.com . I have bought paint from him and not had a problem

    with them only supplying to companies. I know he's not local too you, but I had my paint in 3 days.

    Hi utt61.

     

    All of the Unipower Br90's are 3 meters wide to the outside of the rear wings, not including

    the mirrors. The ABLE, BV, & TBT have all different wheel bases. The TBT has a 6.5m wheel base from the centre of the rear axle bogie to the centre of the second steer drive axle. I'll

    look for the overall chassis lenght but if my memory serves me correctly it is 12 m long without any bridge, which has nearly a 3m over hange from the back of the chassis.

    When I can get time I will load some photos of the first TBT being tested and some of it being tilt tested to 32 degs at the MOD test track.

    Hi Phil.

    looking at the Manual Drawings and from memory they are straight cut gears. Its a long

    while ago but remember stripping all the hub ends down to fit ABS systems to the

    mod vehicles. I think 13 & 29 tooth drive gears.

    Hi utt61.

    The TBT's are currently having some armour updates put on for Afganistan. I personaly

    can't see these coming out in the near future as the MOD are very impressed with them,

    and they have not had their first major overhaul yet. So it could be some time before they come out into the public sector. I'll have a look at the build sheets to find out the vehicle width for you but as you say they are over 2.5m wide. I will post it here.

    Hi Loggy. The manual doesn't say that it has a L/h thread and the NATO part number

    says its a 13/16uns standard nut. so the chances are it is a standard nut. Part no 7085400
