  1. Hi, the Reporting Live from W&P Thread is something I really, really miss. It really helped me over the last days before the show. Thanks Marmite for all the effort in the past years. Hopefully it´s back on next year. Let´s carry on, I am starting on Sunday. Uwe
  2. Ah thank you very much for the Pictures. Now i understand, that this is not the field chest which was originally planned to be in there. Looks like a small safe, but you are telling that it is not very strong constructed?
  3. @Cornishbloke I can see the Grey shelf at the right Hand side, which i suppose is the Field Chest. Is there a Label or manufacturer on it? Seems like a Commercial part from what I see.Can you please post some Pictures of it?
  4. Richard, can you please post some Pictures of the field chest? Maybe some Label or numbers, or a manufacturer on it? Also a Picture of the prniter rack in the right Hand rear Corner please. @majorweld the strange rack is for the LSW
  5. Yes, there are TUAAM fixings (for the bolts) on each of the front top corners inside. Beneath them are the fixings for the ARFATs.
  6. Here is a picture from the MOD Website. It is a BATES command post. However the MApboard is not fitted and the Data Terminal seems a bit more to the rear, it would be in the way to fit the BATES Mapboard. http://www.army.mod.uk/rolefinder-content/68/gallery/047_gallery_01_502x335-1.jpg
  7. Hi All, I just found this thread with wonderful pictures of a kitted Comms Body for Rb44. Myself I have a Rb44 with Comms Body that was kitted out for BMETS- Battlefield Meterological System. And also for this type there were two different layouts in one regiment. BMETS were used two vehicles each Artillery regiment.Mine was for example with 3RHA here in Hohne, Germany. Pictured here is one of a few BATES fittings. Battlefield Artillery Target Engagement System. Means that is was a Artillery Command Post. Main feature of this was the BATES terminal (Ruggedised Computer) which is mounted on the table with the slides. The messages were then fed into the system via VHF connection. In this case 353s with DMUs. BATES cabins had different numbers of antennaes, so you can distinguish different versions. BATES was also installed in 432s, but just in armoured regiments. The rb44s were used for light gun regiments. So that is how i see the story. By the case , I am always searching for parts that fit into the cabin, as mine was stripped almost completly. If anyone has something to offer? Thanks for the pics. Would it be possible to get closer pictures of the notices on the MAPBOARD? Best Regards Uwe
  8. @all thanks for your answers. Unfortunately I am located in Germany. So it´s not too easy to get to Bovington. @ferrettkitt Yes you can use the picture on your website. By the way you can add 33 BA 24 as runner then. Uwe
  9. Hi All, in the Bovington list there is mentioned 33 BA 24. So this is my ferret. How can I get hold of this picture now? There it is.
  10. @m109a3uk And? Have you checked it yet? I can´t wait anymore..............
  11. Hi I am 99 KJ 41 - 3RHA BMETS
  12. You are kidding me. Aren´t you? But thats exactly what I thought. I hope you are right.
  13. In my Beltring pics from 2006 I found pictures of the one I am searching for. Anchor had one for sale then. If you see one of those tents - I am still searching for it. Contact me please.
  14. Come on guys. Is nobody here who has got one knows somebody who got one, or has ever seen one? Uwe
  15. I just bought mine a few month ago and I am now waiting for the show season. But I did approx 800kms in mine and can say that it is far more comfortable to drive than my military 110. In a few month I can say much more about that. The problem can be the spares, especially if you are on the other side of this planet. Uwe
  16. Hi. As a new Rb 44 owner. I am searching for Command Post Tent which fits at the end of the Comms Body on my Rb 44. It is like a standard 9x9 tent connected to the vehicle via a approx 2 m long connector. I think anybody round here has got one and wonders what it is. On the front end there should a velcro to fit it to the body. There should be a special frame. I think connector is separated from the tent. Any help would be appreciated. Uwe
  17. Hi. I am from Germany and have got Rb 44 as my newest toy a few days ago. It is a Radio one fitted with the BMETS container body on it. Unfortunately almost everything from inside the cabin has been ripped out. Now I am on search for: 1. Pictures of the inside of complete one, doesn´matter if BATES or BMETS. 2. Parts which are of no need to you anymore especially the Power distribution boxes, as shown in the picture. The Picture was taken at Beltring this year. 3. The special tent connector which goes to the end of the body, to attach it to a 9x9 tent. Any help would be appreciated. Uwe
  18. What kind of radios has been fitted inside the radio bodies? 353s? 321? Anyone more information on these? Uwe
