  1. Lost a great man on this raid, not to mention all the others who were also lost. RIP P.C Pickard and his nav Alan Broadley.
  2. Rob, one wiper valve and also found cap for your distribution box.
  3. Same as Martian and possibly Scammell Explorer. FV159964. Sure I've got a spare somewhere.
  4. I did a couple donkeys years ago. Quite easy to strip and clean, spot of fresh lube on seals, make sure that the rack and pinion are located correctly.
  5. Looking at this bottom pic, you have used the wrong type carriage bolt. The top two appear to be a countersunk bolt that sinks into the wood, the lower is a normal round headed bolt, thus sitting proud and causing the problem.
  6. Will have a look in shed later, sure I have one or two in there
  7. Ferret isn't a goods vehicle. I think that you will need to upgrade your licence to include C1 category which will allow you to drive up to 7500kg vehicles, then you should be ok.
  8. I'd say not, believe max weight for post 97 licence is 3500kg, so pre 1960 or not makes no difference.
  9. The problem lies with the split in the clamp. As it's been tightened over time when the top bolt is tight, both halves butt upto each other, but the clamp is still slack. Remove the clamp bolt and run a slitting disc through the groove to make it wider, reassemble and tighten up.
  10. Thought that too, but then why would it need multiple grooves.
  11. Does anyone know what this tool would've been used for. Cheers Simon
  12. Looking in a different ISPL we get more part numbers. For the filter 2530-99-800-3707, the element 2940-99-842-5926. Coupling top half 4730-99-411-0821, bottom part 2530-99-800-0439, complete unit 4730-99-411-0856. Alsoo gives the top part as AVA56E. And as Richard says also fits Saracen.
  13. Chris, filter complete is LV6/MT1/AU/LK/30319, element only LV6/MT9/AU/LK/MF56A. The Avery coupling complete is LV6/MT9/AU/LK/AVA51E, LV6/MT9/AU/LK/AVA54E is the bottom half and the top part that fits to the tank is LV6/MT9/AU/LK/AVA1153E, the aluminium union that holds them together is LV6/MT9/AU/LK/AVA62E. I've not found an old tank yet with a top coupling that reseals, though the bottom half of the coupling always seem ok. Bottom connectors also available at Green Machine Surplus. Simon
  14. Richard, I had to get another shed to put stuff in which meant she lost a bit more garden!
  15. Mili hip ring steelwork and old fusty canvas, foam inner long crumbled away. £50 including UK postage.
  16. Clearout of all sorts, don't know what most of it fits, accumulation of odds n sods. Parts with DMC 9 AHY. Any use to you, make me an offer.
  17. Chris, how much of the original steering sysrem is on the truck? Guessing the Cummins pump might be a ZF, and possibly used ATF. Don't know if the Martian steering jack seals would like it.
  18. Last year won one on ebay for £48. Also fit B80/81.
  19. Not knowing the distance between the bracket and strap, what about pick axe head?
  20. I'll have a look in my shed for a cap over the weekend, sure I've got one or two kicking around.
  21. Have you tried putting mole grips on the screw head to turn them?
  22. Would also depend on how deep your pockets are. R tech units work well.
