  1. Tim Lane I have a wartime 15V generator which I can't get to run. Do you have a spare carburetor? Also an exhaust pipe and silencer. Thanks.
  2. WOT actually stands for W = War office, O = 1940 (start of WOT series production), T = Truck.
  3. I've been having a clearout and have these War & Peace items for sale. They cover the years 1999 to 2009 and are all in good condition. I will take £30 for the lot and this includes carriage in the UK.
  4. Ford WOT2 trucks are good, nice and fast but tend to overheat. Also it's like driving a car with the heater on permanently!! If you see them about, the windscreens are normally open and side screens never used. Also, use road or sand tyres on the front, not trak grip as a WOT2 will wander on a road. Good luck finding a WOT2, and you will like it.
  5. A Ford WOT2 is 7' 6" high, and my Garage doors are 8 foot tall to enable me to drive it in. It is also 6' 6" wide, so you need at least 7 foot clearance.
  6. Help please. I am trying to get in touch with Mike Buckley. Can anyone help with an email address or contact details, please? I just need to ask his advice on a Radio set. Many thanks. Robert Davey
  7. Did you get that manual? I saw it has ended.
  8. Just noticed there is a Ford WOT6 Maintenance manual on ebay, item number 333625599238. I have no connection with the seller or item, and only thought you might be interested.
  9. ENFO does mean English Ford, but it started in about 1950/51.
  10. Just a minor detail, For some reason, you have to use a Civilian type pick axe on a British Ford as an Army style one won't fit. Found this out when I restored my WOT2.
  11. Sorry, can't help with Heritage Commercials magazine. Got Classic Military Vehicle and Britain at War magazines.
  12. I might be able to help. What magazine and which issue do you want?
  13. An F means Foreign in Ford speak, or built outside USA.
  14. Great News. Look forward to getting some.

    Kit Kat

I have heard back from Nestle, who make KitKat. They do the 2 finger biscuit in foil but not the 4 finger, so I now need a blue 2 finger ration Kit Kat label to copy. Anybody have one? Thanks for all your help. Robert

    Kit Kat

Does anyone know if KitKat still make 4 finger biscuits in Silver foil? I need some for a display of rationing as I have a ration wrapper I can use for them. I have found 2 finger KitKat but not 4 finger. Knowing how much us vehicle owners like chocolate, I thought somebody here might know. Many thanks. Robert
  17. Simon I don't want it (I have a couple already) but could I see the inside of the set and also the middle of the handset? I may be able to ID the set and give some advice. Robert
  18. Thanks Richard. I didn't know about Britcom base workshop.
  19. For Sale 19 set mark 3 with power supply, dog bone connector, aerial lead and vehicle mounting tray. Set has 1944 on the dial and it was inspected in 1955. The set has the B set in place, which is usually missing as it was usually deleted in post-war overhauled sets. I have never tried the set so I don't know if it works or not. Price is £700 and must be collected from Reading, Berkshire. PRICE NOW £600. Now £500 for the lot
  20. Can anyone help with some information, please? I read sometime that the post war Little Grey Ferguson tractor used the engine block from the wartime Standard Tilly, as it was Standard who made the tractor and they used the existing mould. However I can't find the info to confirm this. Can anyone help with confirming this and where the info might be? I have to get some details for the Museum of English Rural Life for an upcoming exhibition. Many thanks.
  21. Thank you all for the information.
  22. I have seen adverts for 'Daks over Duxford' and noticed they fly over Kent on their way to Normandy. Does anyone know the exact route they are taking and when exactly they will be over North Kent? Just wanted to be in the right place to see them.
  23. All I am being dragged off to St. Ives in Cornwall on June 15th for a weeks holiday with my youngest Daughter and family. Can anyone suggest any Military vehicle events or museums in the area that I could go to, please? Many thanks. Robert Davey
